I feel like Trident is bound to blow up on this side of the world sooner or later, ever since Nagisa joined they been getting better and better and solidifying their own sound. As for Asterism and Sokoninaru, you can't go wrong with any of them, but since you mentioned Marty Friedman i have to recommend East of Eden. Their bassist (Wakazaemon) has been on Marty's touring band and latest album, shes a beast. The rest of the band is stacked in talent too, lead by Ayasa a really proficient musician and violinist, they have such a maturity to their music that you wouldn't believe they been around for less than a year.

Love Trident, one of the my fave bands. Sokoninaru too, but they are on another level, be prepared to get face melted
