Hi YUka, any time you get to spend with your grandmother is precious and it's especially nice when you get a chance to see things quietly. The area is well known and a lot of films are shot there. One classic was a one take shot that showed Samurai's fighting each other. I think you were lucky to be there like this, able to enjoy the buildings and the atmosphere fresh and uncluttered from tourists. I thought you did a wonderful job with the drums. At 1:22 the knives on the left look like some I used when I was a shoe, boot and leather repairman (cobbler). I still have one and it was my favorite that I used to cut the sole stitches from the welt and the curvature was good for "skiving" leather. Those little snacks were so pretty, I couldn't eat them.....Lol! Beautiful place, thanks for taking us.

Japan is such a beautiful country, with an amazing history. This looks like a place I would love to visit on my next visit. Sooo many places I want to see. I know this might be the most weeb sounding thing to say, but Japan felt more like home to me than my home does. It's been 7 years since I was there last, and I miss it every day.

Amazing place. I can relate to going to attractions in Japan and being the only people there. It would always be in the middle of a weekday, but you got the sense that it wasn’t the heyday anymore.
