In today's playthrough we checked out the newest patch of the convergence mod which included an overhaul of some areas, some new weapons and some new armor setups!

The new Morne castle is crazy. Feels even bigger than vanilla Stormveil with everything that got added.

Btw, to anyone who saw the weird new move Malenia has, it's actually not a new move, but an old one. In one of the earliest versions of the game she would use that, but it was patched out. Convergence brought it back to her moveset

If I recall correctly, it was also meant to be the true Waterfowl Dance, which would also explain why it looks so much more fitting for the name than what is commonly known as the Waterfowl Dance.

glad you're enjoying the update, domo! had to skip the part with castle morne as I've not been there myself yet and didn't want spoilers, but great vid regardless. hope you've gotten a chance or are planning to explore raya lucaria in 1.4 as well, since it got a makeover alongside stormveil and morne. you wouldn't believe the amount of complaints we get in the discord about it. 💛

The armor bulge is for comfort in the heat of battle when the blood pumping .

when 1.4 first came out there were a couple game breaking bugs like the castle morne lift would kill you. They’re fixed now. Curtis the Cactus encountered it in his play through E: So cool that him, you Gino and 1-2 more content creators have their own npc. The dagger ur npc drops has a cool follow up on that dagger AOW

That was fun. They made a lot of really cool changes. Kinda sucks they made Malenia easier. Seems like an odd change when everything else was made more challenging.

If anybody plays this, how do you _update_ the mod? I played it a few versions ago and don't want to muck up my Convergence save files.

A few things: 1. Convergence introduced their own save file system which is independent from the steam Elden Ring save files. You can turn this off to use the old save file locations. 2. Convergence mod has it's own launcher. It has a button to check for updates so you don't have to go to nexus each time.

@awhellnah__ Gonna disagree on that, as the combat is perfectly playable on MnK. Design choices regarding button binds and the restrictions on how they can be changed are questionable at best though.

i think the matriarch is harder then melania personaly for a video ending fight they did a really good job with that boss can't wait to see what else they add to morne since both bosses are placeholders

Loretta having two parts to her fight would be awesome, fighting her first on her own, you beat her and she dragoon jumps out of there and then jumps down on her horse, "and now, the real fight begins "

Challenge run: Empty the ENTIRE map of every single enemy as quickly as possible. Friendly NPCs excluded. This would be immensely entertaining to see.

i wish he wouldn't cheese the new bosses, whats the point of even fighting them if youre just going to spam one move on cooldown and win without effort?

Thats why I intentionally died against him the first time so I wasn't cheesing it lol also not my fault the game allows for such shenanigans to be honest. I literally just stumbled upon a broken mechanic

NGL, some of the changes in this Mod are so basic, so foundational and makes the game so much better without really affecting anything, that it shows just how far ER is from greatness. At least for me, that is, I actually found ER to be pretty mid. Mods just make so visible, all the stuff missing from the game, and all the little and often annoying things it gets wrong.

@@JGrantUK 2 ideas off the top of my head: Seamless co-op for a start. If a Mod can do it, FROM certainly can and should have. The co-op that exists in the vanilla game is super annoying and clunky but the fanboys insist its a 10/10. Certain small lore appropriate changes to weapons, scaling, arts of war etc that would make half the weapons not even worth using, actually worth using (classic issue in FROM games that it again, seems to get a pass for).

Wtf are you talking about, Dark Souls is so ez, the Boss fights are laughable, only in Dark souls 3 there are 2 Bossfights that took me more than 20 tries, one of them being in the DLC. The Open World in elden Ring is ez, but the rest certainly isnt.
