That's with anything. Nervousness means you care about what you're about to do in the moment. When you start doing something you'll notice how easy it is and that it wasn't such a big deal and then your nerves won't be as bad next time and it'll eventually just go away with time. Then you become a natural at what you're doing. 🙂

With younger ppl it's 50/50 some are really easy to talk to and some are afraid to even look you in the eye. Older ppl ALL love to talk - even the grumpy looking ones ha ha they are the ones that light up in a smile :) middle aged folk are boring as hell and will stare out in empty air just to avoid any eye contact for most part. Kids will either ask you something completely unexpected or just stand right on front of you and stare O_O ha ha this seems to be universal from my experience

Solo travelling makes you do this and I've created some incredible memories because I was forced to speak to strangers when there weren't any meet up groups happening. Highly recommend solo travel :)

This is probably my favorite video on the internet. Because it just gives you so much hope. As someone who's never had any real life friends before, this gives me a lot of hope. I mean, I've had "high school friends" in the past but we've never really stayed in touch after i left school and i regret it now because if we did, i would've been having some friends by now but then again at the time i was dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression which turned me into a completely different person. But if anyone wants to be friends, I'm down lol 😂

As someone who moved to a new area half a year ago and has been struggling to make friends, this is actually incredibly motivational? Thank you for this, truly. Talking to strangers can be so frightening and it can feel like they’ll react negatively but.. It’s amazing to see this actually.

Oh gosh saw ur comment like 4 years later, and I can understand how you feel. I'm in college and studying online cause it's 2021, corona is still here. I only talk to 4 or 5 students from campus. They are nice ppl but can't say we're genuinely 'friends' like that cause we only talk under important circumstances. Im actually going to start studying offline next year, and Im so anxious, what if I'm not able to get good close friends from campus, and be all alone.

He had a LOT of options pre covid, and in a crowded city. It's so much harder in suburban areas. Only place is really the mall, and it's half empty consisting of people with their noses buried in their phones coming and going so fast.

This is an amazing video. You can try making a video where you hang out with each or some of them doing their favourite things. Would be great if you hold like a chill party with all of them attending, making a bigger circle of friends. Its not about being popular, its about knowing your neighbours.

You are right.. People do not trust others easily. I have failed to make friends with strangers because of trust issues.. I will still try the odd time but it usually feels intrusive and I avoid it as well

Yes, simply approaching and talking to strangers doesn't make them your friend, but you still gain something valuable from them (unless they really don't wanna talk). Like maybe they tell you something interesting about their lives and you learn maybe about something new, which can open your eyes or expand your horizon. You also become more comfortable with talking to people who might actually become your friends.
