Oliver McCall Maybe it could. Maybe we also let fans make some noise like at 16 at the WM. It’s sudden noises that distract, not constant background noise. Let the guys wear shorts, use rangefinders, have contests on some of the holes. Younger crowds eventually aren’t going to be attracted to the traditional rules.

Part of golf is the culture. It's totally reasonable that he wouldn't like the stuffiness of golf, but he is surrounded by it daily. Part of what I like about golf is the peace and quiet and civility of the players. I spend my days surrounded by stoners, I myself am a stoner, but sometimes I wanna wear a collared shirt and be outside.

I honestly feel like Koepka’s got insane ADD. That’s why he’s so good in majors because every shot requires 100% focus because every hole could be disaster... the rest of the tournaments aren’t that intense so he kind of wanders off and doesn’t play consistent.

Why is it sad? Yeah, I’m sure he enjoyed playing when he was younger, but why doubt what he’s actually saying? It makes sense to me. At some point, it becomes more of a job than a fun game, and I’m sure Koepka is at that point by now. I honestly think more athletes than you’d think share his view, but maybe not to his extreme. Still, it’s kind of a bad look to say it in public for some reason. Look at the comments. People actually have an issue with it.

Would u quit ur job if you were gonna make another couple million dollars in the next couple weeks? Obviously not so it’s not as simple as just quitting especially when he still has the capabilities to be a top 10 golfer and earning millions. No one would quit in that scenario.

There is no doubt he was hitting 1000 balls a day for years. He just doesn't like to overthink the game and take 5 minutes for each stroke. Just line it up and go.

I love people who downplay their work ethic in an attempt to look cool. It's extremely uninteresting. I'd rather hear him actually talk about his approach to the game than hear his little nonchalant act. Watching Bryson explain his methods might be obnoxious to some, but it's better than this.

I actually like him too but he needs to get in the real world? Playing golf for obscene amounts of money, travelling round the world and staying in the best hotels is in the top 5 professions imo? He should do a few weeks in a factory, getting up at 5am using public transport see if his attitude changes? lol, golf is NOT boring. it's actually a science to be studied and appreciated. granted, it does have a lot of 'down time,' and even when there is 'action' it's limited to a single swing of a metal rod, followed by a long walk. Not to mention the fact that save for Tiger Woods, pretty much none of the competitors have personality. All and all, if you're not a die hard fan, it pretty much makes for a somewhat boring watch, and, I'd have to say that if Tiger's not playing, it's pretty damn boring for us aficionados as well...which...was the very point I was arguing against....Very well then; carry on!
