Yup! Can’t blame Ferrari from wanting to get out of 💰💰💰 I dunno…hammering on the rev limiters isn’t doing the car any favours. Not just Ferrari, Ford, Chev …start changing exhausts and something goes wrong…you are done! The thing is, at some point…these guys after making all these vids of torturing their cars…will want to sell them …there is no way in hell, anyone would want these cars without a heavy depreciation…so if it needs a motor and trans replacement…You wouldn’t be on the hook for expensive repairs/replacements

@@withmatt1062 Warranties are usually invalidated with any product if you modify how they operate. An after market exhaust definitely changes how the car operates so Nico is out of luck. It's even worse with Ferrari because they don't like modifications of any kind since they believe it hurts the brand. Were the issues caused by the modifications or the installation of the modifications... it's something nobody knows.

The 812 really is just a 'flex'. At least the mid-engine cars can be great 'Track Cars', but I doubt Nico is doing many track days, and there are far better options for a GT from Ireland to Rome... Good luck! Hope it's just the computer needing a raboot.

You're correct. This seems like the electrical systems are shot, and Nico only did an exhausts system swap. But that's just how car warranty works, once you invalidate a clause, the entirety of the warranty is voided. It's a shitty practice, but it is what it is sadly. Hope Nico gets it sorted out though.

The exhaust has quite a lot to do with the engine. It affects the dynamic pressure of your engine. It also effects your horsepower. Pretty sure it can have an effect on heat too (in the engine and the surroundings of the exhaust). So they have every reason to remove the warranty. Sorry Nico.

@@MarketingGuy Unless it's done by some chop shop by a coked up technician, an exhaust swap is pretty much harmless. Especially when it's done by someone like Novitech.

I agree bud , it's like buying a patek and then modifying the movement yourself , then when it breaks taking it back to patek, being surprised they aren't interested. These super cars have to be driven with care or at a consistent speed on a track to keep the engine in a way it was designed to run , not treating it like its a Ford escort and fraping it about in a car park and opening it up for 30 seconds on a normal road , no wonder they were all breaking down. He will literally go bust just constantly fixing his car. He learned a huge lesson in why you don't buy cars like this , you lease them ,even the very rich will lease one if its going to be driven like that. In fact the rich rule of thumb is never buy anything with an engine when it can be leased. Depreciation, repairs etc.. and you realise they are money pits

It is a car literally engineered to be driven hard. If it can't take a led foot and a few donuts then it's a piece of crap and it has nothing to do with how it is treated. It's a Ferrari! Not a Kia.
