Something tells me those pads weren't for aches and pains, but for dehumidifying the car. Three of them at once is a bit extreme; maybe the scuttle was blocked with leaves and detritus, and water ended up coming into the cabin, so they were used to help dry the interior out.

I live in Japan and drive a 2008 Alto auto with just 55,000km. It still drives and smells like new and is perfect for nipping round the small streets of Kyoto. It has 4 electric windows, A/C, electric folding mirrors. it even sits comfortably on the highway between 80-100KPH. They're also surprisingly spacious. Great story! They sell millions of these cars in india as the maruti Suzuki. Back in the day 1988 in india we drove from Delhi to Punjab approx 350 miles. Nothing too unusual in that but there were 6 of us in the car, my uncle, and aunties and cousin all large people, thankfully the my mum, my self and other cousin were thin, so did balance out. But still hard to believe how me made that journey

This was one of India best selling cars. It is built to a price but it costs peanuts to run. After a few years, body flex sets in and the interiors disintegrates but they carry on battle scarred. Most impressive are how their lightness enables them to tackle Himalayan mountain roads with aplomb! We were cautious with our Kodiaqs due to their bulk and lower profile tyres! These were like gnats, their lightness and high profiles tyres allow them to fly across ruts and weave in and out

One of the most common car here in Nagaland, but we only get manual transmission. This car is loved by the people of hills as it gives a good mileage + low maintenance and can go about anywhere, even offroading. People travel from Village to city and it still runs smoothly after doing 200k km. Still a high demand car.

Parking sensors on a car that small but on the flip side, it's the nice little touches like that, shows that some probably cared about reversing into other cars.

These are bulletproof cars I have had a 1998 , a 55 plate and currently 2013 as second cars , as long as you service them regularly they won't let you down .You have to watch the model you have bought for rust underneath. My current one 60+ mpg happy at 60 to 70 mph on the motorway. I highly recommend them so underated . Yes made in India .

Trust me over this, Alto in India, Nepal and Bhutan drive up the Himalayas without breaking a sweat, all day every day. The locals there are so happy with the reliability and cheap cost of maintenance of an Alto that it is used as a taxi in almost all hilly states in Nothern and North-Eastern India. Yes, Maruti is Indian and this very car rolled out of a production line in Gurgaon, India. I myself have an 800CC one from 2003, done close to 60,000 KMS, nd that thing is not dying or leaving me stranded anywhere! It once covered ~100kms without a coolant a few years back and it still gives me 19KMPL or ~46MPG!

I had a Suzuki Celerio 68reg which replaced the Alto , great little car 100 percent reliable did about 45,000 miles trouble free. Maybe you should do a video on a Celerio.

On one hand I despise the cheap gray plastic everywhere and how cheap and barebones it is overall but on the other it’s just so cute, tiny and simple.

Great little cars. So easy to drive. Remarkably smooth engine and 50 mpg easy to achieve. Crash protection is rubbish but boot is decent, rear leg room good, driving position good. Corrosion on shock absorbers is more of an issue than you would think as bottom bracket can actually fail so worth replacing old originals, especially at the front. Biggest win is only £30 road tax although insurance can be oddly high. See loads in India where they seem to soldier on everywhere regardless.

I had one of these as my first car with manual. Cost me £1100 to buy in 2012 and I only spent about £1000 on it in the 6 or 7 years I had it

I still find it amazing that a 16year old car like this, as basic as basic can sell for over a grand. I remember the days when you could buy a 10 to 15 year old car for about £150 just to thrash about on the farm. Those days are long gone

If ever there was an example of what is on the surfaces of your car that you touch every day and don't realise then this is it. The car looked clean in the 1st video. It really drives home what my dad said, clean the inside of your car every week, there is stuff left there every time you use it. You handle a lot of different things every day and transfer them to your car. He always said if you were out driving and stopped for lunch, wash your hands well before you eat.
