From a bodyshop perspective, the front apron being bent in towards the engine can be pulled rather easy, the strut tower seems to be intact and hasn't shifted at least visually. The b pillar damage as another has said before the B pillar has an outer thin sheet metal skin and under that is the structural part, the skin could be cut and a new piece welded in from a donor s60. Honestly seems like a solid car otherwise. I mean if it already has a salvage title I can see why you don't want to save it but if it doesn't, might be worth saving with how these s60R's are getting hard to find. Either way great video !

Fender Apron/Rail is a name for it. That's how you keep it working. When I had my project supra, i purchased a total of 15 other supra's. Tearing them down and saving all the hard parts while selling off other items to help make my money back on the purchase of the parts car and afford to buy more parts to modify it. LOL

Re the "put it back together, then break it" story: when I told a coworker that I had a '96 Saab 9000 Aero, he told me their motors were favored for sand rails, and that his brother had installed one, but didn't hook up the turbo waste gate. He took it around the block for a test drive and blew up the motor. Live and learn!

I love the volvo content, my subarus motor started to knock a few days ago, and i've found an s60R for sale with the atacama interior, that im trying to get my hands on.

Just so you know (unless someone already said something) that "after market bushing" for the top engine torque mount is 1000% better than the iPD one you have on your other R. If it hasn't disintegrated by now (iPD) toss that crap away and use that Powerflex one. So much better quality and Lifetime warranty.

Lol. This is so absurdly easy to fix, especially because the door opens just fine. You just have to unbend the front rail thingy (i forgot what it's called in english), which just has some visual damage, no structural damage whatsoever, because the hood seems to be straight and closing just fine. The rail thiny is not even shifted inwards. Has only a dent which is almost one inch deep. Also, that tiny kink at the bottom of the B-pillar. That's just cosmetic. The outside part is just simply for looks. It serves no structural purpose, because it's a way thinner sheet of metal than the actual reinforcements. You just have to get a headlight, a fender, and two doors from a random clapped out S60. Maybe a hood, although it doesn't seem to be that damaged. Bruh, turning that into a parts car... That's just ridiculous. Starts right up, no errors on the dash, no leaks underneath. Even the front wheel is straight, which shows there is literally no structural damage whatsoever. The shock tower is also in the original position. Wasn't pushed inwards at all. Lol. That's literally a free car for how cheap it is to fix.

Sad to hear that a perfectly fine car that only has cosmetical damage and no issues with hull geometry is going to be a parts donor. It drives perfectly and the wheels are aligned. Heck, all of the windows aren't even broken. I think that repairing it would've been the better choice honestly. Sad to know the previous owner was lazy to do it, and so is the new one. I guess that's just american mindset - if your stuff breaks you just buy something new, instead of fixing.
