I had to make do with a Vitpilen 401 but I love it nonetheless. I wouldn't call the 401s quickshifter "bril", it's jerky, but I use it and so glad it has it.

@@SIMONB1 Cheers Simon! I'm not getting the new 801 anytime soon, but I'd sure like to. I'm not exactly suffering with the 401, lol. The new updated 401s are sweet too but I honestly like the looks first gen.

Hey up Matt, can't go wrong with a vitpilen 😉, yes I would have another CCM but the price needs to come down 😲, I would probably get an original again, as they are the quirkyist 😁, what are you thinking of buying ?

Very underrated! So i got mine new for 6000 dollars cause no one was buying them in the USA. I want to do those svart bars. Its super quick torque monster. I got cat deleted an coober ecu an change gear to 15/42

There is always people with 690/701 supermotos or even 2020+ vitpilens willing to trade for the spoke wheels

Hey up Simon, very very very nice Husky mate the 701 such a unique looking bike. The click on the clutch is the slipper clutch and it drove me nuts on my ktm as i thought the cable was about to snap. Great bike you have there mate. Ride safe.

hey mates, I have a Vitpilen 701 for 3 years now, drove it for 25.000 km with no problems except the clutch... it's not a cable, it's hydraulic I'm afraid and the slave cilinder tends to fail which dumps your clutch fluid in your engine oil 😏. it's replaced with a Brembo one , oil has been changed , I've always warmed it up gently and ripped through gears and RPM after that 😅. still a blast, I'll never sell it ever. 🤭

Sound wise it reminds me of my KTM 690 Enduro R. Perfect bike for those roads. I’m looking at a bike later. 08, 1 owner and 2,000 miles……

@@SIMONB1 It was an earlier evolution of the same engine. Great pickup. I’ve got a vid of me riding Hardknott somewhere. I’m viewing a CBR600RR this afternoon. A bike to use on track.

Think these bikes (including the Svartpilen) look fantastic! So much more stylish than the ktm 690s (or 790/890). You still got it or did you sell it?

I don't have one but I am looking for what bike to get next and these really appeal to me. I prefer the higher bars which you have as on the Svartpilen. The clip ons put me off the Vitpilan so was interesting to see you can do a conversation. Was knocked off my bike earlier this month by a car driver that didn't see me before pulling out (the old classic) and the bike's a right off so looking at alternatives whilst off sick recovering from my injuries (numerous broken ribs) and waiting for it to all be sorted and paid out. Once sorted I really fancy another big single. Last bike was a Tiger 900 which was very competent but just not very exiciting. I live in Lancashire and never usually ride further than the Dales or Cumbria which I think suits this sort of bike. Looks like you ride the same sort of places as me. Not many dealers around though is there? Think Appleyard's in Keighley is the nearest Husqvarna dealer when searching google and they aren't even in the same county!

Did you install the abm handlebars yourself? If so do the cables need to be lengthened?

Hey up luuk, noni bought it with the bars already installed, but was told that the bars on it were the highest you can go without changing cables and hoses 😁, hope that helps , ride safe, Simon B 👍

Hey up Robert, just fancy a change, I'm wanting a 690 smcr, so can't have two bikes the similar in the garage 😕, I've got 3 others for sale also, I haven't ridden a smcr yet, so the vitpilen may not sell as I might not like the smcr, we'll see , you fancy it ?

Ive just bought or I am in the process of buying a CCM Maverick Infinite 22 (72) with 300 miles for a shade under 10k and may add one of these to my collection too lol as now they have been discontinued it maybe a worthwhile investment for the future. @@SIMONB1

I found myself a 2021 Registered Svartpilen 701 Bronze with spoked wheels (2020 model obviously) registered in Sept 2021 on a 71 plate very reasonably priced 1300 miles being delivered first week in Feb

Hola, Elmer, la bicicleta no necesita 2 discos en la parte delantera, es uno de gran diámetro, por lo que tiene toda la potencia de frenado necesaria, también la ralentizaría debido al peso, ¿en qué parte del mundo estás tú?

Hey up Mark, it's probably the most underrated motorcycle on the market, yes it's a great bike , the quickshifter is seamless, it's just a joy to ride, very good prices at the moment, and it's just a KTM 690 engine, get one bought, ride safe, Simon B 👍
