You made the right choice. I just bought my 5th one yesterday. For the first few hours of operation, they will smoke a little and smell funny while the heat burns off all the newness. They will pick up a little more power and fuel mileage after the break in period.

I would recommend an EHS racing airbox snout and lid. Helps keep the grizzlys alive in the dusty dust. The ROX riser setup for oversize bars, and oversize foot pegs are very nice as well.

The 2019 up doesn't need any airbox modifications, just grease the front of the filter when you put it back after cleaning.

I have a 2020 Rubicon DCT Deluxe and JUST got a 700 Grizz as well! Crazy we both did at the same time lol

What are your thoughts on both? Which do you prefer? I’m torn between both…

You will have to make some trail riding videos with your brother Joshua.

Post up your thoughts on the steep downhill engine braking, compared to the rubicon. It is extremely difficult to find any video reviews on the downhill engine braking, or overall speed and control when going down steep hills. (Everyone shows hill climbs.) I know my honda going downhill is about a walking speed and is in complete control. Anyways, congrats on your new purchase. Look forward to your straight-up and honest thoughts on the machine.

The leading edge of the rear fenders/footwell area will be pelted to absolute sh:t after a ride or 2. I have a 2021 grizzly se (Canada, which I believe is the xtr in the USA) and the dual stage lugs on those 10” wide zillas throw rocks like crazy. I installed the Yamaha fender flares but doesn’t make a lot of difference in this area I speak of. It’s a rock solid atv that rides very plush! You’ll love it.

That exciting, Im curious to see how you compare it to the rubicon. You think you'll have a new favourite?

My dad got a 2016 rubicon foot shift and had a 2015 I believe grizzly up until this summer when he traded the grizzly and bought a new 700 can am two-up. He likes his Honda better because in 6000km he had 0 issues and the grizzly had a bad 4wd switch and lost a fuel pump. I’ve owned a grizzly as well but I got a 520 foot shift now and plan on buying a 700 can am pro in the future. But nothing wrong with a grizzly. I just want a change. They ride way better than the Honda in my opinion. Seat is better. But not quite as reliable but close

Wow, nice to hear. I actually think my rubicon is a more comfy ride

@@JacobOverman I’ve had lots of older Hondas and what I noticed about the rubicon was the seat position is high compared to older Hondas. I find you sit too high and your leaning down to the handle bars. After I got off my 520 and get on my stock big red 250es, the big red feels like a chopper lol. Also my 2009 grizzly didn’t ride as good as my dad’s 2015 in my opinion. 2015 was wider a-arms. So you got more leverage to work the suspension. In my opinion that’s why the Honda don’t ride as good because of the shorter a-arms. They don’t have the leverage to work the suspension as well. Either way I always believe Honda and Yamaha to be best. I grew up in an area where we used quads like cars and use them hard. Polaris was crap. Can am the new 500-700 seems ok so far. Just talked to a guy with one at 6000kms so far with no issues. My dad likes his so far. I’m itching to try one too.
