Great video and very informative. I decided to buy the self propelled version of this lawnmower and I'm really glad I did because the machine is heavy, especially with a full grass box.

Thank you, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head, as to why I bought it. I don’t have the time to care for a lawn to make a cylinder viable, so felt this was the next best option

Like your video mate, I’ve got the allett and the Hayter, both nice mowers. They each do different functions for me, allett gives a lovely finish, but is rubbish at picking up debri and leaves, which is where the Hayter excels. So allett in the summer and Hayter in the early spring and autumn

wow what a lawn! I have a Mountfield with a roller ,although it cuts well I find the roller a little on the light side so thinking of changing to a Hayter as you mention the roller is heavy to give good stripes

Terrific Lawn and great video. Have been a Hayter fan for many years and presently have the 41 selfdrive version. Wonderful machine. My problem is age and arthritis and as the 41 is heavy I am having to consider the Hayter Hawk which is lighter and battery powered. We shall see
@DIYJourney1

Very kind of you thank you. I agree, the downside being the weight, makes it a little more awkward to manoeuvre. Id also be interested to try battery but also something lighter. Great machine other than that, really pleased with it.

Great vid. Great lawn. My question. If your lawn was smaller with no straight edges like yours 1. how easy is this machine to manoeuvre without the self drive? On a very gentle slope 2. how easy is it to push? Would you get away with buying what you have, the push version? For longer and wet grass 3. do you feel there’s enough power in the engine? Thanks in advance. Keep the content coming.😀👍

That’s impressive. The smile on your face tells the story. Only thing missing is a glass 🥃 of something cold on the garden table. Did you just take the top layer off the lawn? Don’t suppose I could borrow it. Lol🤣🤣🤣 just got myself a new Bosch thing to tackle my disaster area. Look forward to the next video. Keep up the good work bro.

Thank you for doing the video. I am giving it serious consideration to purchase one of these . To move it from the front of house ( garage) to back etc. I will need to push it along on our slabs . Will that be ok with this? I wouldn’t want to risk damaging the rear roller.
@DIYJourney1

No problem at all. I push ours around no problem, my concern is more damaging the slabs that the roller. Id have to check but think the roller is plastic.

Great video and great lawn!! Probably worth cutting the yellow rope off the bag just incase it gets caught up with the blade, it's there so they know it's in the box at the factory. Any reason why you didn't buy from a dealer?

A physical shop online. Not sure why the seller would get funny because its been purchased online, they have an obligation to resolve any issues as a dealer. I am 99% confident I will never need to claim on the warranty…what really can go wrong.

Talk about exaggeration, 2x houses out of 5x that surround us (2x couples) and 3x non frosted windows 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣…Your telling me you stand in your windows and stare in to your neighbours gardens. Would never reccomend a hayter self propelled unless your buying an old one have had new and old and always choose my hawk from 1998 still going strong and hardly ever needs a service and when it does not much goes wrong on a 35 classic engine, the self propelled gearboxes on hayters are terrible stay away from those, but the push mowers are really good from hayter nowadays, hope this helps someone from making the mistake many do.
