Either that or just send back hangers to get reused. I hear you tho. Almost every clothing retail they would come either prehung on plastic hangers OR individually packaged in plastic. I get it cuz cleanliness and all that crap but there has to be a better way. Preferably, as annoying as it is re doing a table you just folded, I'd rather deal with, merchandise and look at folded clothing. Hangers annoying af

I used to work at Big 5 and we would throw out the hangers and put them on our own company hangers. Almost everything came in 2 layers of plastic and it was awful. Every truck day we would throw away 5 big bags of just the plastic wrapping alone. Nike and Adidas were the worst when it came to the plastic waste.

Reusable is better than recyclable!

@@complainer406 agreed! As much as I understand where the "we need to do recyclable hangers" comes in at first blush, those hangers wouldn't even make it the first week 😅

Why not let customers take hangers, then they can hang their garments in their closets, and you don't waste hangers.

so is "fast fashion" just a catch-all term for mass-produced clothing at this point? i'm sorry we don't all have $80 to spend on a single bespoke crocheted sweater, it's not "evil" to be poor.

@@dietotaku it's not you who is evil, it's the choices of the corporations to mass product billions of articles when there is no authority to prevent them from over producing and literally abusing people to make it happen. we make conscious choices when we can, but it's not expected that any of us can save the world by buying expensive more-ethically produced clothing. and, is fast fashion not literally defined as irresponsibly mass produced clothing..? food for thought.

Mid and higher end stuff tho, just samples are made, buyers choose and then products are made based only on sales. If something doesn't get much attention even with some sales probably doesn't get produced Lower priced or store brand, that is mass production and where more unsold stripe tshirts

@@dietotaku I'm poor too but I am really frustrated at how much fast fashion produces. Besides the obvious environmental issue, if I want a cool shirt l have seen at let's say, Zara (fast fashion) it will most likely be 25€, if I want a cool pair of pants I've seen at Bershka (still fast fashion) they will be 45€ if I'm lucky, so if I want to get them I still need to wait to have 70€ to buy crap quality products that will most likely disintegrate after one year of use. But the funny part is that most of the times, when I finally have those 70€ they have completely changed the whole store and products, and sometimes it hasn't even been a month... _who needs to see new clothes in the store every single month?_ Poor people also existed when clothes weren't mass manufactured, but the products were made to last you a lifetime and generally people put away their money to buy that one thing they really really wanted (I still use my grandma's clothes from the 50s). The problem is that poor people are buying clothes made by people in working conditions that shouldn't even exist, just to mass produce and keep mass producing, why produce that much??? I've come to the conclusion that at the end of the day one good 90€ woollen sweater for the whole winter is better than 3 30€ acrylic sweaters that I have to keep mending because they're disintegrating in my washing machine. Idk

You do realize places like gucci go to india and chinas fle markets, buy things for dirt cheap, slap a logo on it and sell it for $80 when it was once $5. Your paying for the logo. Anyways its not only cheap things that end up in the garbage, other designer clothing do too. Hence why we have donations centres. Another food for thought. What im getting at is you cant know whats ethical or not and people need clothes at the end of the day so they will buy what they can afford and like. And actually not buying from these so called fast fashion does not shut them down, the clothes end up in garbage. People that work there chose to work there for that wage as thats what acceptable in their country soo... im tired of hearing these fast fashion comments.

Lice can only be find fresh for around 2 days; if a hats been just worn. These clothes are in inventory storage probably for months, that’s why it’s least likely to catch some.

Honestly if it’s Walmart sizing it’s just…never accurate. I got two of the same type of pants same everything just a different color and one was too small the other too big Walmart is never like…accurate with sizing. It’s all fast fashion that your gambling on.

@@socialnoob4853it may have been asda george stock from the uk as they are owned by walmart. i live in uk and sometimes our clothing shop tags are in european sizes presumably bc they’re sent to the wrong country etc.

I spotted some of the tags said George which is a UK clothing brand and part of Asda which is owned by Walmart!

I agree! But all that overstock clothing also needs to be addressed. Making clothes is also very bad for the environment :(! And a lot of those clothes are made of polyester, which is also plastic :(
