Can you get to Cornwall and back on a full tank of fuel challenge could be good. The Nardo grey sounds good but not sure about black wheels anymore. Maybe a light to mid grey would work. Maybe lower it and put a roof box or surfboard on the roof bars? Could look quite cool. Have fun with it.

£1000 on car, spend £3000 on paint and repairs then keep it 2 years +, £2000 a year is still cheap motoring, I've done this for the last 20 years with no problems so far. Only problem on these big 'barges 😄' is road tax and fuel costs, but if you only do a few miles they are a great buy and lots of people nod to you.

There is no way in UK you will pass MOT with Airbag fault showing on the dash. Unless they cleared the code before MOT and it only pops up after 3rd time of key off/on. Nice car, but will require some work tho.

I see loads of high specced 5 and 7 series from around this time and newer that have upgraded stereos and fancier seats but no heated seats and my theory is that most people that buy or lease them don't even check if such a basic feature is included in the price and get a shock when it itsn't.

subscribed a few minutes ago, I own one same year and engine but in much better condition, almost the same specs but with EDC, automatic trunk and a few other things, no heated seats. and I have the same issue with the engine, a fault with the MAF but the issue is not the MAF it self, but I guess any boost leak because which triggers the MAF fault, no dash lights and no other faults, but take care with the tranny, oil change must be done each 80000 kms. I can give you many advices regarding this model or any bmw, and regarding this engine also because beside the 7 series I also have one E39 530d.

Got a 750i, came with heated seats, but not that phone in the drawer. The slide out keypad is there. Expensive on road tax, and fuel. Still doesn't look outdated.

I have exactly this car same engine,same model, everything (just is blue and from 2004 lol), does your's also have bluetooth option on the iDrive software? Mine has but still wasn't able to connect my phone to it Edit: Didn't know it had TV wtf Edit2: Idk why they have the trunk switch in the arm rest console, but it might have something to do with the backup key it has on the trunk (on the same place as the tow hook) the key doesn't unlock the car, but can start it Edit3: Also idk if u know but the car key has some functions, if u press the lock or unlock button for a few seconds that car will open/close the windows and mirrors (since you'r is zip-tied not sure if would work xD) and the mirros close a TON never since something like that, they go from full to the side, to full upwards doing like a 90º angle while also rotating up, it's crazy (at least for me). Mine had come with the gps navigation disk, but i believe either the disk or disk player is damaged and doesn't recognize it so idk if it works Also, i just found out today, that on the wheel there's a button to toggle voice commands, like "turn on radio" or "call person" and stuff like that But the freaking bluetooth, i still wasn't able to connect -.-

I've owned 3 bmws,a 3 series,a 5 series and most currently the 7 series..the 7 series was an absolute nightmare!!!the 5 series is the best this far!!

I'd bet it's a no option car because it was bought for private hire. Posh airport taxi sort of thing. Especially as it has the smallest derv available. I've been carried in the back of many a spartan S-Class, so why not a BMW? I thonk owner-passengers would have been more likely to order the 750Li.

How on earth did it get an MOT with that exterior damage; especially the external rear view mirror. It would never have gotten a Road Worthy Certificate here in Australia. I own an BMW 528.I but the could not give me a 7 Series Bemer. The Seven Series is not popular here and surprisingly has had quite a few problems. Their resale value is very low. My BMW cost $132,000.00 new but I won't get anywhere near that now. I have kept up the service in my car with religious fervour. I have only used synthetic oil in my engine and religiously used top of the shelf Upper Cylinder Lubricant. The services which I have carried out by BMW every 10,000 Kms cost a Bomb. I rarely have a service that costs under $1,500.00. The car is fitted with every luxury you can ever imagine; it is run solely on 98 ROM petrol and is garaged with low Kms on the clock yet; I was offered a pittance for it as a trade in. I have decided to keep my car as it is mechanically sound.
