id say most pawnshops dont clean or reset anything, one of my local pawnshops has a pretty recent iMac that's iCloud locked amd has a note on it "no password as is" and theyre trying to sell it for the price of a one in great condition that's not iCloud locked lol. pawnshops aren't even worth wasting your time with now

Worked 20+ years in the pawn business and we would clean, test, factory reset, and clean out the vents/fans on every console and also warrantied them so all shops are not the same

The age of it isn't even the problem. They're just not configured well. Every setting like motion-smoothing, adaptive brightness, noise reduction are most likely on. That's why they got so much input delay.

Xbox One at start is the Day One Project Scorpio edition. I pre ordered and got one of those. The casing finish is different. Controller should also read Project Scorpio. Worth a little more maybe than the standard model.

I NEVER had "gamer juice" or "gamer cheese" on my controllers. I 1) always wash my hands before picking up the controller and 2) do not allow my friends or fam to eat and play, if they eat I make them go wash their hands before touching the controller again. In the end my controllers never shine, never have cheese and often look new for years on end. Stay clean folks.

Depends on when this was filmed because, like everything else that's new, it gets sold out and listed on eBay for double the $$. Even at 200$, it's a rip off the portal is completely useless.

Pawn shops tend to not factory reset any electronics especially if it's in on pawn because they assume you'll pay them back to get your stuff back. I've bought PS4s from them and every single one had the original owners account still on it and some had their credit/debit cards still in their wallet which if anyone knows thats a easy way to steal info or buy things from the shop or even get free plus because they will automatically charge the card that you last paid for plus with. I'm pretty sure the guy or gal who brought that in did a factory reset because they knew they weren't going to get it back and they didn't want their account/info on it. Idk about them but where I'm at in Colorado the pawn shops pay you more for pawning your stuff than they do if you sell it to them. It's like 20% more you get to pawn it and if you constantly pawn stuff and get it back out they usually end up giving you more money because they can basically trust you and know you'll pay off your pawns if you constantly pawn stuff and leave it you end up getting less money because they assume you're just going to leave it and not get it back out.

I recently bought a PS5 Slim from a pawn shop near me. They had a few select of the old models and the 2 slims, one was for $400 and the other was $500. So the first slim I bought, took it home and turned it on, tried singing in but it was apparently a blocked console. So I took it back next day and got to exchange it for the other PS5 slim which works perfect and it wasn’t a banned console. When I was there, they also looked up the previous owner of the banned console and apparently said they’re gonna ban them from selling or pawning to them or other stores
