I know that's the cheapest series s you could find on ebay, but I absolutely refuse to buy a series x or ps5 until both are $500 or less for a pre-owned like they are supposed to be! Scalpers be gone! FOREVER!!!!! I'll only consider buying the disc version ps5 or series x pre-owned at gamestop because they offer an in store 2 year warranty. I'm super picky and most of you should be too. I wish other retailers had better return policies because most are a joke. Walmart, target and everyone only give you 30 days which means you are screwed if you have a problem with your ps5 or series x after a month.

What you failed to realize, is the HDMI cable that was missing was no ordinary cable. It was a High Speed HDMI that cost over $40 to replace. They kept it on purpose, because of its actual value.

If the seller didn’t mention that it didn’t come with the HDMI cable, you could ask them (using eBay messages) about sending it. I’ve bought things in the past and people simply forget about things like that, most people will just send what you what you need for free. Also the HDMI cable that comes with the Xbox is actually really good quality, I would prefer the official HDMI cable vs a cheap HDMI cable.

@@jrob0021 For the Xbox series X, it is not a standard HDMI cable. It has the HDMI 2.1(ultra high speed) where the S has the HDMI 2.0 (high speed). This allows higher bandwidth to allow 4k/120fps. Hopefully you did not hook it up to a standard HDMI or you will not reach the fps the S is able to reach.

But the market is such that most scalpers are charging cost for the series s. There's not much profit in scalping the Series s right now. At least in Western markets you're only going to get 300 bucks for it. Maybe $350 or something if it's a day where it's not in stock anywhere. On any given day you can go to GameStop or Target and find one for MSRP.

@@johntaranto29 No. Scalpers resell new items. This was a guy who decided he didn't want foe himself. He charged a fair market price. MSRP ONLY applies to retail sales. In the aftermarket world, especially when there is no retail stock, the price is whatever people are willing to pay for it. That is how ALL markets work. Stop bitching about scalpers, you don't want to pay don't buy it. They are doing nothing different than what ALL rare goods sellers do, this includes antiques and collectibles markets. The fact that people are treating this different is arbitrary, scarcity is scarcity, and these things would be scarce even if resellers weren't buying up a tiny fraction of them. Your outrage is selective.

I've just done the same thing. Bought used for £280 with a second brand new in box controller and a charge pack. Guy bought it to use over Xmas while in lockdown, used it maybe twice and sold it once he went back to work. So I'm well chuffed as I was going to wait till mid year before I got on board with the series x/s. Even got the sales receipt so I have access to the warranty if needed.

It is obvious why they did this. They bought a Series S not realizing it was a weaker console. So they bought a Series X and sold the S for much more than it was worth knowing some sucker would pay too much for it.

Nah. For $370, the seller sold at break even or a loss. eBay takes 13% and shipping would be at least $20-$30. Also take into consideration that he paid sales tax on that at some point.

I opted for the series s. It still scales up to 4k I can see it on my TV when checking in what resolution the xbox runs on the tv it says 4k so disc are nice because u get often better cheaper deal's on games then digital versions but it isn't such a problem.

It's cheap, because people are realizing the Xbox Series S, is the same as Xbox One X, and according to devs it will possibly hold back next gen gaming in the future. So people are future proofing themselves by selling them Series S and getting a Series X

In Raw GPU power, sure the XBOX is better than the XSS, but everything else is much better in the XSS, including hardware locked features like Raytracing. Since the machine is sold as a 1080p gaming system, it fits very well where it's at.

I wish they installed a Physical Disc Video Game Player on the Xbox Series S then it would’ve sold faster but I guess Microsoft wants to save money 💰 on doing that

A good blue ray drive is $150. If you are willing to pay an extra $150, you might as well buy a Series X. If you think Microsoft will just add a blue ray drive without increasing cost, you clearly think money grows on trees.

The hdmi cable that comes with the new console is a bit more expensive than the one you can pick up from Amazon. You probably have one of the more expensive ones laying around anyway.

Banjo kazooie was out way before the 360 was even thought of. It released on nintendo 64. Its a fantastic game for my generation. Im 34 years old. I can tell your much younger. Banjo tooie is fantastic as well.

ya know what's funny? sure you may have paid $400 for that xbox but the seller didn't get all that money. A big chunk of that went straight to ebay. If you take away tax, ebay fees and shipping and handling cost the seller probably just broke even at the very most if he didn't lose money on the sale.

The Xbox One is so underrated in Europe due to popularity of ps4 and Switch I love retro compat, games are fast and the controller is awesome plus 4k res, Forza is awesome
