Ray o Vac was a company that made batteries. The flashlights were complimentary when you bought batteries. The texas bowls are worth about $100. each. Don't give then away too cheaply. Think we need to send Wade to the naughty corner again Grandma V.

I believe what you call the urinals are actually maple syrup cans. They hang from the hole to a nail in the tree to catch syrup and the spout at the bottom is to drain them into buckets.

I think the "urine cups" are soap suds enema cans. A rubber tube would be attached to the spout at the bottom of the pan. They used to save the remains of the little bars of soap from the patients rooms and the the nurses aides would fill the can with warm water and rub the soap remains together to make the "suds". They could be hung from an IV pole while the water was going into the patient. Exciting times when the hospital started getting little packages of liquid soap - like the size of a ketchup package. 🤣🤣

At or about 22:00, the four stainless steel containers, I believe those are for performing an enema on a patient. A hose would attach to the nozzle end; when opened, the liquid would flow out and through the tube into the ... well, let's just say the receiving orifice. Hahah.
@darlenewilson9851
@darlenewilson9851 2 жыл бұрын
The blue speckled bedpan has lots more antique value than the stainless steel one. If I had it, I'd arrange pots of herbs in it and keep it in full view, LOL. Same box? The white slit-urinal is for women. In addition to egg beaters and other household utensils, this collection was rich in hospital paraphenalia. Good stuff - it I were teaching a class in appraisals, would love to have many of these wonderful artifacts. That bubble ashtray, Grandma V? My mom had that - two of them in fact - one was clear like the one you showed. The other was amber. I associate the latter with the Seventies.

Wade there is no way a pressure cooker or canner would still be under any pressure. Once the jiggler is off of it the pressure would be release. The old one you couldnt get opened is stuck probably because of the old rubber gasket & your not familiar with how they lock & unlock. No reason to be afraid of them. Love watching you guys.

That is not a coffee pot but a similar and is Russian, my favourite in the second box. I liked so many things but I'm very tired and in pain so I've only typed to say Wade he had me giggling with the frog, I cant see how to keep the tongue out to put a coin on it lol. I love the soda glasses and the hand worked tray but I have never owned an egg beater as I preferred a whisk as it didn't hurt my hand so much as the one at school did, Mum was the same. I do love your unboxing videos from home as they are more relaxed and so much more fun. Now to get some sleep so goodnight my dear friends, God bless you all love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK
