In this video we'll benchmark the GeForce RTX 4070 Super in the newly released Gray Zone Warfare. We'll benchmark at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, as well as use DLSS super resolution and DLSS 3 frame generation. We tried to use AMD's FSR 3 Frame Generation but it didnt work for us unfortunately.
The RTX 4070 Super is one of my favourite GPU's this generation, and it's quite powerful, but Gray Zone Warfare brings it to it's knees, even at 1080p! This game is horribly optimized currently, and that's not the only issue. Server issues are abound, and rubber-banding is off the charts. Yes, this is an early-access game, but it runs extremely bad, even if it's still an Alpha release.
This game supports Nvidia DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS 3 Frame Generation, AMD FSR 3, AMD FSR 3 Frame Generation as well as Intel XeSS upscaling.

There was a patch very early this morning my time that seems to have resolved quite a bit of the stuttering and rubberbanding. Will post an updated video when time allows.

That isn't a bad performance at 4k with a 4070 super given the current state of the game, it's a mess at the moment. Also, I was told that this game uses software level RT for reflections, although I am not sure. I am willing to give this a ago, but honestly the performance is so bad that I believe money spent is not worth it right now. Maybe when it is not in "early access"? We could be optimistic that game would potentially work better. Anyways, even having 4090 turns it down for me seeing these results. Once again great video of testing each settings & preset. Keep it up!

Yeah, I think it'll be playable if it wasnt for all the rubberbanding. The performance is not ideal though. Yeah, it uses Lumen, which is software ray tracing. Not sure if it uses Lumen GI as well, but it would make sense considering the performance.

Games like these should not see the light of day until they are at least playable. This just looks completely unplayable, no hyperbole!

Agreed. At this point games like these are the norm, and anything that releases in a working state is considered an exception to the rule.

You still pay money to play it, so it should at least be playable. The rubberbanding prevents you from doing just that.

If you set the right settings for your setup , wait in base after it stutter a couple of time than the more you play it will never stutter again and it’s “playable” but I noticed some bug audio aswell , oh and choose your region server .

Bro do testers usually disable memory integrity while testing or they keep it on?? Because I have 7800x3d and am facing 10-15% fps loss due to memory integrity turned on.

When I do GPU benchmarks I leave it off as it impacts CPU performance, meaning you can become CPU bound making a GPU benchmark invalid. But on a daily basis I leave it off as well just for a bit of extra performance.

something wrong with ur setup or the ryzen 7 7800X3D is a better cpu. I get 160-200fps epic everything with framegen on

Well, the 7800X3D is a faster CPU, but it wouldnt cause your system to run 70% faster. My results are on par with many other benchmarks for this game and GPU, like ZwormZ Gaming, and a bunch of people that I share results with on Twitter. Even tested it after the first two hotfixes and performance is very similar still.

I see Palworld still has about 90000 CCU on Steam, which is pretty high this far out for an EA game, but I guess time will tell. I hope the devs fix the perfoemance and server issues soon, otherwise GZW will be dying sooner rather than later.

It supports 5600 mt/s officially, correct, but this kit is stable at 7200 mt/s as well, but just running it at its XMP speed of 6400

Game looks great but is absolutely broken. I hopped in, flew out for a mission and crashed…lost all my gear 🥴. Loaded back in, used my back up equipment, go out for tasks…immediately got lasered by a bot. Now I have nothing 💀. Not playing this until it’s fully released.
