I live in the United States so that would never happen however one time my mom was like there's a piece of mail for you and then she gave me a video game cartridge I had sold on eBay like a long enough time ago I forgot about it so at least a couple months and there was a chip missing out of it. I still had a console that could play that type of cartridge so I plugged it in and it worked still. The person on eBay never said anything to me so I was basically able to double sell it for like four bucks each.

I’m so pleased that I can still rely on a friendly British man reviewing random tat on a ratty old sofa even after all these years. There used to be a problem in Sweden with people stealing packages with expensive stuff in them and claiming they’d lost it in transport or something, thankfully I’ve never had that happen to my stuff I’ve ordered online, but I suppose a lot of them would end up in these kinds of “random unopened mail” shops.

I do doll repainting as an art hobby. For painting tiny details on the small doll head, or sewing small doll clothes, magnifying glasses like those could actually potentially be quite useful for that, to see all the small details up super close.

@justmeherethereandeverywhere I bought cheap jewler's glasses like this with interchangeable lenses for different magnification that worked well. I think they were $24 US. Or like that time I jokingly bought those finger lights and found out they're actually super useful for electronics repair. I had some chinese gloves that had LEDs on them, but they were made for chinese hands, also pretty sure women's hands, since they were tight, and I don't have large hands. I'm medium large. So makes finding gloves SUPER ANNOYING.

The extra label on the jacket is the label the manafacturer is supposed to put on the jacket itself but some warehouses have this label in abundance so dont use the one that is shipped with the clothing. Source: Used to work in a clothing warehouse.

I'm starting to wonder if some things (like the knockoff earpods) are shipped to the wrong address intentionally as some sort of online marketplace fraud. I've had sellers ship "my package" and it get delivered to obviously not my house and signed for by some guy named Steve (probably a business in the same zip code) and maybe these ones were shipped to addresses that don't even exist.

Its a scam known as "Brushing". It allows sellers to artificially inflate their reputation on marketplaces where there are measures against such a thing in place, for example Amazon. It's always cheap tat in the packages, and usually from China. The mail being delivered to the UK from China is brought here for a flat rate, which makes it really cheap to send small packages.
