My Dad died when I was 6 years old; my Mom died 8 years later when I was 14. I can honor only the memories. Those parents who seem "the worst" now, may turn out to be THE BEST ever! Even if they don't, He admonished us to honor them. You do your part and let God hold them accountable!

Hey Christian - I just want to salute yo bro. I could see the look on your face as you walked up to your dad and that feeling has to be something you will remember forever. I love my father so much too and he’s the hardest working/most knowledgeable mechanic I’ve ever met. He’s so frugal with his money that instead of buying a new bad ass car, he’d rather take us on vacations. I always ask if he had 100k to blow what would he buy? And he always says a new gt500 no questions .. so I’m going to do what you did and he’s going to come home to one.. and seeing you walk up to him like that is a vision I have of this same situation too and it brought tears to my eyes. One of my dreams has always been to be in a position where I could treat my loved ones. My dad has been driving a 2005 Honda Element, which now has about 350,000 miles on it for almost a decade. The speedometer doesn’t work, it’s been breaking down on the highway, and just isn’t reliable anymore with the amount of driving my dad does. For my dad’s birthday I surprised him with a brand new Cadillac, which has always been his favorite car brand. Because of all the traveling going on this month, I surprised him this past Sunday. Just thinking about his reaction gives me goosebumps and almost brings tears to my eyes. I love you dad. Happy Birthday.

I always wanted to give something to my dad when I start realizing his hard work for me...apart from studying I was a tuitor too and I could gain 250 rupees every month. I collected that and buy for him one sweater and you know, he was so happy and wore it everyday till his last day of his breathe... I miss him...alot

Real nice man I salute you! I lost my dad a few years ago and I want to do the same thing but I didn't have enough money at the time. It still hurts me because I couldn't buy him a new Lincoln but it hurts even more that he's not here. Keep your dad close.

I know im late but im very sorry i almost lost my father 5 years ago and he was in the hospital for 74 days and had 11 surgeries. im very sorry for your loss and have prayed for you. stay strong bud
