Carter is a chow chow. They are very expensive to buy and need alot of grooming and may require a special diet too. I had one when I was 10years old many many years ago. My parents told me I had to walk her daily, brush her daily, and play when she was in the mood. My brother occasionally took her out but it was mainly my mum who stayed at home that really took care of her. They are not generally playful pooches, they like their own company. Centuries ago the Chinese Emperors had them as guard dogs for their palaces. They are the only breed of dog to have a purple tongue like a bear. They really suffer from heat, so would not like to live in a very hot climate, so unless you could keep them cool it would not be a good choice. Here in the UK our summers are very brief and the weather is so variable.
