Ladies, ladies, a man who confidently takes money from, or he's comfortable with being provided for by his woman, sees nothing wrong sleeping under a roof that he does not pay rent for, insecure characteristics is a no go zone... Know your worth , God isn't the author of confusion. I will fix him attitude has killed many women..

Not just someone who talks the talk, but someone who actually does what is required. It's easy to "pretend" and think in Your brain that "you're the man", when actually you're a pathetic version of what a is. A provider, a man who has earned respect and has an understanding of what being a man entails.

I thought I was the only one! Only difference is I didn't go ahead with the wedding. A last minute clarity of mind saved me from a disastrous life. I bought my own ring, he almost made me pay for his ring and I was to fully finance the wedding despite him having worked way longer than I had. He said he had no money and yet insisted on inviting many people to the wedding. The guest list was 80% his friends and family and he kept adding more and more names. Bullet dodged.

When I broke up with the father of my 2 kids, I ran to God/church. I thank God for allowing me into His Kingdom. I had my own plans and desires, But the Lord wanted me to serve Him. I am now happily married, to a God fearing man, and our marriage is meant to glorify and serve our Creator. It is way more than just loving , cuddling and having great time together, although we do have some fun, but God first. Im 34 years old and would advise my younger brothers and sisters to seek God first before they commit to a marriage or anything else in life. Matthew 6:33.

Utakimbia nje usiku bila nguo ukiokota makaratasi hautaamini babygirl!! It can kill you! Yes it's always about financial security!Marry a man who is as ambitious as you are...One who is willing to sacrifice as much as you do! Love is a very small factor in making that decision. WHO YOU MARRY AND WHO YOU HAVE CHILDREN WITH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION A WOMAN WILL EVER MAKE IN LIFE!! Don't make that mistake Sis! I find it hard to accept the notion regarding 'Marrying Wrong' since no one is perfect. Again, you don't marry someone in a day after meeting then but trust me a marriage can easily last a day. Everything in life happens for a reason if you are keen enough to examine the series of events leading up to the main event. Matters of the heart are no exception, they hurt the most.

I enjoyed watching this topic. I’m Nigerian and wish I understood everything spoken as the video was bilingual; however the message was not lost. June, you are always a winner and your outspoken strength will bring realization to many confused women who think that their identity is lost outside of a marriage even though it’s a marriage that depletes their human potentials. I’ve been told I’m strong because I took a similar stance as you 11 years ago. I’ve singly mothered my kids in all this time and for me too, many blessings came flooding in. I single-handedly relocated myself and my kids to Canada where I knew no one at all. I get told I’m strong but life has thought me that we all have innate strength; otherwise, I would have underestimated myself. Thanks for being vulnerable and sacrificial enough to share your story.

I love this so much. I grew up with no father, a very strict, emotionally unavailable mother... and it manifested in my current and past relationships and adulthood in toxic ways... people pleasing, promiscuousity, lack of boundaries, anger outbursts, fear and anxiety, very low self esteem and self worth, I can go on and on... I was broken until I started therapy in September and didn't realise how much I needed to unpack and love myself and how much I was looking, desperately for love in men and relationships... and hating myself. I'm in a season of waiting, just turned 32 and often find myself daydreaming about marriage and having a child... because I believe that's where unconditional love is. I struggle with anxiety of abandonment in my current relationship... struggle with not being liked and accepted and him falling out of love and abandoning me.... i need to know myself...HEH! I'm a whole mess... but a beautiful mess... practicing self love and wholeness... it took me 32 years to get here.. but I'm loving my journey. I am intentional with being kind with myself, putting myself first and I know... no matter how long it takes, will enjoy and be intentional with my journey to practicing daily wholesome living! Thank you June

Thank you for being able to share so openly that on its own is therapeutic. Ladies, some of these things happen because we don't love and appreciate ourselves enough first. Then that causes desperation. You don't need a man to validate you. You don't need a man to make you complete. If you already feel incomplete, you're going into marriage with all those inferiority vibes. Which means, that as it is, you're already carrying baggage with you into a new marriage. Remember, Christian or no Christian, the laws of life will handle you because they are universal. A desperate and insecure person also attracts the same type of partner. Believe in yourself, and believe that you deserve the best. A person who loves and respects herself will also attract a similar partner. Desperation breeds contempt which leads to death. Wearing a ring means totally nothing if there's no love in the marriage. God is God of a second chance, so we also learn to forgive ourselves when we make mistakes and let go of the past so that we're able to move on without 'extra baggage'

I do a lifestyle channel that deals with positivity and simple life and I just do it for fun not worrying about subscribers. So here she is getting real people who wants to hear this and be inspired. So the biggest lesson for me and also from my own past experience after breaking up my ex-fiance, is that whenever you are trying to get/ start a relationship with someone, GET TO THE ROUTE OF THEIR CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES. Because they get amplified later in life especially in marriage. If their was any trauma, the healing process should begin. Marriage is not the solution, however salvation should be the beginning of the healing process as well emotional and psychological healing. We need an interview for the men growing up so that we can see how their upbringing/ childhood trauma affects their decision making in life/ marriage/relationship, and how generally they deal with it. God bless you all. Lyn you are really hitting the nails on the head with such great life changing stories
