Lovely to see such a positive video. How can anyone hate this video is beyond me. I will be a father for the first time to a son in December and to see the unconditional love and bond of a father with his son's is priceless, I hope I can experience this wonderful moment of going car shopping and treating my son to his first car. From what I've seen, you seem to be really kind with a good heart and well-spoken just like your dad. He definitely raised both of you really well, not forgetting the good manners both of you have. My son is 15 at the moment and we bought a 1997 Volvo V70 T5 manual for us to rebuild at weekends. That’s the car he wanted and it’s what he hopes will be his first car. But with insurance prices increasing as they are I don’t think anyone will insure him or it’s going to be ridiculously high number.

That is so cool but sadly you’re correct. I’m 18 and my test is on Thursday and the insurance is mental. The average for an 18 year old is £2200 mine is a smidge under £3,000 for a Volvo V40 D2 so I can’t imagine what it would be like on a T5 but maybe as its old and depending where you live it might be ok fingers crosse for him because a T5 would be a riot. Oh and my quote is with a black box tracker. Without it’s over £9,000 for a D2!!!!

@@Dalbayob69 jeezus. Absolutely ludicrous sadly I don’t think he’ll be getting insured on that. I actually for a laugh got a quote on my mums 2020 XC90 B5 and they came back with £32,500 while she is paying under £1000 so with you at £1700 his would be sky high. At least it will be a fun project and who knows maybe if you flip it you could get him a C30 or something that he might be able to get a “reasonable” quote on

This is how my experience went. So I got a 2011 1.2 polo. No one insured me apart from LV insurance. I paid 3.7K for my first year no black box. I had to have my dad as a first driver and he had to be the owner of the car, hopefully that helps guys good Luck 🤞🏼
