It is a BF 06 falcon and not BA. The difference is that the engine has 190KW from the 182KW BA. A few other cosmetic changes etc. IMO it's going to cost you unless you have knowledge of removing the rear diff cradle & repairing rust. ~ 99% of the Falcons suffer from rear diff bushes and centre bearing vibrations

Sorry must have given me the wrong information! The last owner changed the diff the week before I picked it up so that should be sorted!

@@Richy_BTW That's one massive issue sorted mate. You can get a second hand exhaust with 2 x O2 sensors and you're laughing! Fix the rust and it's an awesome car! It'll last you for years

Haha, FG and SR wheels, all the normal falcon weak points, rust in all the normal places. I know from having worked on so many of these how long it takes to repair the rust properly around the fuel cap, this is caused by the foam behind the panel that is fitted by Ford which absorbs moisture and causes rot from the inside out. Door sills, especially around passengers side bottom and front drain points under windscreen. I had to learn how to do hood linings, rust and paint jobs, engine and trans work to do it cheap, worth the effort though, I have 4 BF series 1 Fairmont Ghias now, all mint and a BF MK2 XR6T nearly finished resto. Go hard bro. Cost to get everything really nice, body, paint, interior, suspension, bushes, upper and lower control arms, tie rods, new radiator, trans cooler, coolant bottle, p/steer hoses, engine hoses, engine gaskets and rear main seal, trans full service, engine bay detail, full tint of all windows, is about 1500 doing all the work except tinting myself.

There’s definitely a lot to do! But seems worth doing especially how cheap everything is! Will have to get into more of the maintenance side of things for it once she’s painted!

the problem with these types of cars (I own a 2002 BA Fairmont) is people quite often don't keep up with the maintenance of them, so you will be up for control arms and all manner of bits and pieces which will run you thousands of dollars. Parts are also getting rare for them as Ford isn't making them anymore.

Give it good service Diff trans and motor Give it new brakes New thermostat and water pump Good to do the front main seal on motor to and the rear seal on trans for drive shaft You’ll spend heaps not cheap fixing cars theses days

Any ba/bf under 1k is a deal (Minimal 2.5k in parts) ill even list parts with realistic prices to prove 😂

@@Richy_BTW forsure, weather it's to do skids or daily drive anything under 1k is an amazing deal 👍can even do a basic clean/ paint ect and sell for 2.5k complete 💪🏽 even 2k to be honest (for a xr6 ba or bf)
