You can get the X-H1 for the lowest price since it was launched, I decided to get it back. Would you?

I've had my xh1 for almost 2 years now and absolutely love it, but I kept hearing how much better the xt3 was and it was supposedly better than the xh1 in every way, so I gave in and I have just bought my xt3 Jan 2021, and yes it has slightly faster AF and yes it has better video specs, so is it better than my xh1, definitely not, the lack of IBIS especially for video and the less rugged less ergonomic body means that its the xt3 that sits on the shelf and not my xh1, not what I expected at all.

I purchased the XH1 as my " second ' camera to my XT3 . . . but I'm shooting with the XH1 a lot! Love this camera.

I re-bought the X-H1 because I missed it so much. I have a lot of mirrorless video cameras. This is my favorite and it gives me the best results---so much fun to shoot.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to have gone down this path! I bought the X-H1 this spring when they had a deal on it with the 16-55 f/2.8, grip, and batteries for $2,000 (USD). It was an amazing deal considering the lens alone goes for $1,200 and the grip is another $300 or so. Basically, it was like getting the X-H1 body for $500. I just couldn’t pass it up. When it arrived, I was surprised at the weight and size of the kit. The grip didn’t seem comfortable. The whole kit felt heavier than a full frame DSLR. A few days later, I returned it and got an X-T2, grip, batteries, 18-55, and 10-24 for the same price. Fast forward to a couple of months ago when that same X-H1 kit went on sale for $1,700. It immediately sold out with a promise there would be more in stock (which I didn’t believe would actually happen). Turns out it did, and I bought it again. Why? Four reasons. First, I found that as good as the 18-55 is, I missed having an actual marked aperture ring, which the 16-55 has, and the 18-55 lacked whatever magic Fuji works into its prime lenses. Again, there’s nothing at all wrong with the 18-55, but it never “wowed” me. The 16-55 does. Second, I realized I was trying to put the X-H1 + 16-55 + grip into the same category as my X-T1 with a small prime and no grip, falling into the mindset that the only benefits mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors bring to the table are lighter weight and smaller size. This time, I’m looking at the XH-1 for what it is. Third, the IBIS. It makes composing and shooting with the 55-200 so much easier and rewarding. And fourth, it was simply too good deal to pass up. I was going to buy the 16-55 anyway, so for $500 more, I got the X-H1 with the grip and Fuji batteries. That kind of deal is rare. My X-T2 and grip will be going up for sale here soon, probably with the 18-55, and I should be able to recoup at least $1,000, bringing the net cost of the X-H1 kit around $700.

I bought mine as soon as it was available 1.5 years ago, still using it, love it.

The X-H1 with the 90mm f2 is my favorite combo. The ibis is amazing, the shutter is amazing. I find myself reaching for it more than I do the X-T3. Tempting to buy a second body but i'm going to hold on for the X-H2 which could be a total game changer...

Upgraded to the X-H1 from an old Canon t5i. Love it so much! My only knock is that the camera needs a fully articulating screen. Hopefully, the x-h2 will have one 🤞.

Wow Fred i bought this camera last week at 899 with the grip!! I already have another 2 xt2 cameras but just loved the view finder,leaf shutter,better grip for pinky finger and low light shooting ability of it i just couldnt ignore the price at 899 😁

It has been saving for years waiting to have enough to get a xt3. Then the xh1 came out, then the xt3. After this the xh1 came down so much in price I was able to get the xh1 body and 50mmf2. It certainly has let many into the fuji system.

I just got an X-H1 a few weeks ago and I'm loving it! I picked up the 18-55mm and 50mmf2 used, so a very nice kit for a great price. Especially since the grip and two extra batteries are included, a $600 CDN value!

Never sold it. Always been a keeper.

There are inexpensive well made light metal grips available on Amazon for around $35 for the X T3, if the grip is an issue. I will also protect the camera.

I have both the XT-2 and H1. Love the ergo of the T2 (after having added a Lensmate thumb support) over that of the grip of the H1, but wish it had IBIS ! And the location of theQ button of the H1 just sucks. I bump it almost every time I shoot. Wouldn't give up either camera body though. T2 for street, H1 for low light, larger lenses, or landscape without a tripod thanks to the IBIS.

Yes, the ergonomics and lack of shutter shock on the X-H1 are the two main features, which currently set it above the X-T lineup... The X-H2 is going to be awesome!!! Edit: in fact two things that the X-H2 should have - 1 bigger battery, 2 permanent grip Juul in to support such a battery! If they build this into the body, it will be slightly smaller than the current one with grip, it should be able to do 1000+ shots, and it seems everyone has than on there anyway!

I was tempted to get another xh1 just because of the deals but the only bundled one I didn’t have is the 8-16. Tempting but I resisted when they had the 25% off that lens last year so I wasn’t as tempted. Still an incredible deal if you don’t already have the lens or camera.

Fuji needs to make more OIS style lens, even in the MK series!

I owned the Fuji x-h1, and the Fuji xt30. I have 7 lenses. The xt30 has the newer sensor but the 23mmf1/4, 35mmf1/4 and the 16-55mm f2.8 zoom are my three favorites; no OIS so x-h1 is my go to camera. I love that camera. They say crop sensors are not good for landscape, but I think only God good get better colors than those lenses. My hands are average but still I feel like I have an extra finger with the xt30 so I swapped it out for xt3. The xt2 was perfect but I swapped it for the h-1. I decided against the new pro3. Those rangefinders are really cool but I’m a retired guy who wears glasses so I use the monitor most the time.

All of the XT/XE/XPro models are poor ergonomics (esp with heavy lens). The XH1 is the only body that balances well with the heavy zooms. I really did like the XH1 (when I had it). Maybe I'll copy you and buy it back LOL

Just got one from KEH for $730, practically brand new. I look at it as an XT3 with IBIS (yes, I know, XT2, etc., but it’s very similar to my XT3).

Recently bought the xh1 new for € 1k (great deal) to replace my xt2. What I like: 1) ibis 2) dslr- style grip 3) near-silent mechanical shutter 4) feather touch shutter button 5) rugged build quality 6) balances well against larger lenses, like my favourite 16-55 f/2.8. What I don’t like: not a damn thing!

The first camera that changed the land scape was the Canon 5DII, up untill now I've not been able to justify that kind of spending. the kind of money these cameras cost was not a top priority. The BMPCC 6k was close (ef lens, and USB 3 to external SSD card...). My XH1 with grip gets here next week, the cost was what got me in the game again. Wish I could design my own camera.

I have the X-T3 and came to buy an X-H1 + 35mm f1.4 for 900 euros, I think it is a good offer. I'm in doubt if I sell the X-T3 and I took a X-T4 or I keep it and I own this X-H1.

Hi Fred, I saw in your XH1 settings rundown video that you are recording audio with an external mic into the XH1 and monitoring through the headphone jack. I do the same but my audio is clipping in the headphones although the settings are good and the meters are not clipping. In Final Cut the audio is also very clear. Do you have the same problem when monitoring? I tried different headphones and cables but with no positive result. Could you report if you have that problem as well? It's a stupid idea from Fuji to have the power circuit next to the headphone jack.. I hate that design! So cool that you went back to the XH1 😀 I use mine with vintage lenses especially for filmmaking or with the small 16mm f2.8 and 35mm f2 primes for street photography.

I will be honest,i have both xh1 and xt3 but what really bothers me like alot is that my xh1 has a crop on 4k video recording and the most important it cannot record DCI 4K 30 fps only 24...That's a huge issue where the XT3 can record anything...It's an older gen camera,although handheld and on trips only the XH1 comes with me...IBISSZZ

XH2 will be the perfect camera.

I liked the camera, but then I noticed a number of reviews on youtube describing the focus locking up, refusing to focus -- and one wedding photographer who found his pics were frequently not quite in focus and therefore useless to the client

Compared to X-T3 for photography, what is missing if any in X-H1? Any advantages in getting X-T3 instead (for photography).

If you can get a second hand mint xh1 with battery grip, 2 batteries, and a rrs L bracket for 1300 aud Vs second hand mint xt3 for 1100-1200 aud body only, which would you get? I can't decide...

Was thinking about swapping out my Xt-30 for an Xh1 so I can get the IBIS and the Grip. I shoot video more than photo. Thoughts? I know the Xt-30 has more autofocus points. But that's the only advantage I know of my 30 having over the H1.

i've heard some negative feedback on this because its shutter button is too light so it's hard for the user to know when the camera is focusing or has taken a picture... Im new to this hobby and want to focus on photography, im dabating between choosing the xh1 and xt3, maybe a bit toward the XH1 bc it's cheaper, ill have more money to buy lens but that feedback makes me quite concerned, can you give me any advice, thanks !

Hey Fred, love your stuff mate. Do you know when Fuji are expected to release the new X-H2? I have an X-T2 which is a great camera but I would like IBIS but don't want to buy an X-T4. I like the bigger body of the X-H camera. Also, I'm hoping the X-H2 has an upgraded sensor to that of the XT-3 + X-T4.

Baby get back ! X-H1 is an excellent camera - it may have been overshadowed by the X-T3 in terms of AF and video features, but it remains a rock-solid and classy piece of kit

Damn, I'm saving money to upgrade from my old Canon 60D w/ 24-105mm F4L and plan to sell it soon but I'm torn if I should go with the X-H1 and pair it XF 16-55 or go with a Sony A7III w/ Tamron 28-75mm. Might think hard what to choose. 😕
