I bought a Yardmaster shed for £350 and it leaks from everywhere
be aware that these sheds need guttering , silicone waterproofing and a floor higher than the outside.
I bought this shed because the previous wooden shed was mouldy and damp

I anticipated this when I bought mine. I used UPol "Tiger Seal" on ALL the joints. At the bottom, I inverted the steel frame, and filled it with cement then sat it in more cement on top of a low wall of concrete blocks. It is impossible for my shed to leak.

I've also got a metal yardmaster shed. Mine doesn't really leak as such, but it is still a moisture magnet on warm damp days. It seems to condense every molecule of water out of the air onto the inside of the roof, and when I rattle the doors it all falls down in there. It probably doesn't help that it's on a gravel base, and equipment isn't necessarily dry when I put it all away in there, but it's a tad annoying when it can rain in the shed, even when it's not raining outside. :D

Mine isn't too bad for moisture as it's on a concrete base. A lot of the moisture will be from the ground.

mine has never leaked a single drop, because from day one i put a tarp over it, keeps the rain away from the panels, dont fix the tarp down but thread the eyelets alltye way through so the tarp can move up and down the rope...6 years on its still solid it's a 10x13, putting another one up this summer 10x10. also further more you can create a water tight gasket if you use antinox sheet under the base frame when putting it down. I know it's hard but try not to use a machine when doing the roof screws tighten screws by hand tool and feel.

I have just started putting my Yardmaster Pent shed together, and have found that there is a bag of 54 spire clips included, which are shown in the instruction booklet, but not mentioned at all in the Yardmaster tutorial video. They appear to be used to strengthen the grip of the little screws that hold everything together, and especially the roof. They are shown as being used inside the shed, and will presumably allow the plastic washer to more compressed once the screw is tightened. I wonder if Yardmaster are responding to the problems of water getting in by adding this to the construction process? I have no idea if they will make any difference, but I will certainly be trying them now!!
@baconbuttties

I didn't use them, I bought slightly bigger screws for the roof and used a bitumen type material under the plastic washers. The trouble with the plastic washers is they do not compress and are rigid.

Just installed mine, now waiting for it to rain, on all roof screws I put sealant in hopefully this will stop any water, also to combat the water running underneath the base I’ve added a strip of damp proof membrane which the frame sits on and folded up on the inside so in theory the water should run around rather than under

I've got a Yard master shed and it does have some leaks but that's because the mate who helped me overtightened the roof screws. It's been up for approx 10 yrs. I did put silicone on screw heads and used fast nuts so I could tighten them up. I've had rain hammering down and just a slight weep from mentioned overtightened screw that I missed and as it's a weep I've never got around to doing it.

Ok leak around bottom of shed makes concrete pad all wet, the entire pad. So I bought three bags of 60lb cement and spread around the base inside and outside, doused a bit with water hose sprinkling it on. Next to work on the roof, all inside entire roof has water, dripping. Roof give suggestions, rubberized paint? fiberglass? Tarp? Painted plywood, Shingled plywood?

I have just purchased a metal shed, and came across this video while browsing construction video's. It has been my intention to raise the sheds height by two dense concrete blocks high to increase the working height of the shed. One thig I shall be doing is replacing the self tapping screws with torx bolts & lock nuts washers on both sides of the panels with silicone wasshers both side 1 for security, and two you have more control when joining the panels. Each interconnecting pannle will have silicone sealent run down the joint before assembly, and also on every wassher before fixing as this will always be the point of water ingress. The other thing that will be done is a thin thermal vapour barrier will br fitted to all internal walls this should help with condensation buildup on the inside. One othe issue I have noticed it the strength of the roof beams, and inteent to address this when I install the stud walls into the shed. My advice to anyone who gets one of these shedis is to plan plan, and plan againg.

I moved into a place with one of these as a "garage" and a couple of years later it is obvious that the previous owners did not make it waterproof. I had thought they just didn't finish the construction and left something out, but now it looks like it is the garage itself that is just cheap, flimsy and poorly designed. Do you have a video where you show where you put the silicone sealant?
