Thanks for taking the time to do this. Your 3 videos are really useful and go into enough detail for anybody to follow it simply. Not many people would be prepared to take this much time to go through all of this in the detail that you have. Cheers!

these videos of building the Yardmaster shed were a real godsend to us during the 3 days of putting this together. The instructions were no good, we used your videos throughout the build and couldn't have done it without them. Added to this we had parts missing too, like it seems others have had. However we got there eventually, and a heartfelt thank you and I just hope Yardmaster give you the reward of the recognition you deserve . Would never buy a Yardmaster product again though, wish we had known just how many small the metal pieces for the shed came in (200 we recon!!!) and therefore how long it took to assemble.

Thanks very much for these videos, they were really useful for the similar 10 x 13 foot Yardmaster shed I bought. My advice to anyone is to watch this video first, and to make sure you assemble the roof separately as in these sequence of videos. The instructions tell you to assemble the roof on the shed which would be next to impossible for most people without a cherry picker! So ignore that part of the instructions and don't do anything on top of the wall panels, build the roof separately and then it will just slot into the walls. It needed 4 of us with the 10 x 13 and I was able to square the main shed to get the roof to fit nicely and all the holes lined up, Other things I'd mention - use the white washers on the roof (this is why they run out of black washers in the video). Also just put a few screws in the side panels until you've put the roof in, this makes it easier to square everything up and you can then put the remaining screws in.

I assembled one of these 10x8 Yardmaster Sheds a couple of weeks ago. It took me two days and I am very pleased with it. You do need an assistant to help you put the roof on but aside from that you can do the whole thing on your own. I think it is very well designed and as long as you look at the instructions carefully you can anticipate a good result.

This video is a great help to visualize how it goes together ,but its absolutely shocking all the negative comments and reviews i see for these sheds across the web. i payed £300 for a 9.4 x 9.4 version , if you wanted a wooden shed that size you'd pay double that and still have to buy a base for it. People complaining about the build quality obviously just see that the walls are thin and conclude it must be rubbish before its even fully completed . This shed will last longer than any wooden shed. I did not have the issues with holes from the roof as seen in one of these videos, perhaps as mine is different model. You can't expect to buy a flat pack product, and for it to be up in 20 minutes.The instructions have very few words ( if you think a line drawings are " too complicated" imagine reading page after page of tedious instructions ) but are actually very detailed , visually depicting where every piece goes, corresponding to a number stuck to each piece. Anyone that declares them as "useless" are probably just useless impatient people who didnt spend the time to put it together methodically . They couldn't have been any more simple or they really would be useless. Give your self a full day or split it up in to several days and do it in stages like this chap has done. planout each section before you begin putting it up - separate the pieces for the base , the walls , the roof , the door , put any screws/nuts/ washers specified in a pot next to each section and it becomes less daunting and easier to visualize. The roof is the most complicated part , the instructions specifically say to do it first and separately , i can only imagine that some people are building it from the ground up , attempting to assemble the roof on top of the shed , bit by bit .

You've explained it well. I've just ordered one of these and I've been looking at videos of them on here. A problem seems to be leaks. On watching this video. The base rail has holes on the outside flat edge. No doubt that this would cause water to get through to the inside. I'd recommend taping the underside of this with Gaffa tape before installation and when fitted, a small blob of clear silicone over each hole on the top. Then silicone the inside edge of the shed where it meets then floor. If the floor is porous, give a 6inch band a couple of coats of PVA a day before fitting the shed. So the rail sits on it. Then the silicone will adhere to it. I'll comment more on your other videos.
@niptodstan

I've got my shed and there are a few issues. The holes are what I thought would be the main problem for water ingress. So. Before I fitted the base rail I ran a line of gaffa tape under the outer holes. When it's finished I'll run a line of clear silicone on top of these.My concrete base is porous. So I'll pva about an inch where it meets the shed, so that when I silicone the the joint, the silicone adheres to the concrete.

I loved the comment "if you think you're going to get this done in a couple of hours, you might that want to think again". It took me months of Saturdays to get it all done, but now it's up, it's still there this morning, which is more than I can say for the wooden one across the road ...

I don't know where you got the idea of putting the screws up from underneath. You need to have a good long look at the drawing. You can clearly se that the screw goes in from the top of the joined rails :i.e. 401.2 and 401.14. If you look at the blown up drawing of the join, the edges face downward, which is the position they end up in. You can see that the screws come in from the top. If you look carefully you can see that the blown up view is a close up of the rails to the immediate right. What you need to realise is that you are viewing them as if you're behind them.....not underneath them as you seem to have done.

Mines was bought online the shed frame for a 5×4 & says fits a 6×4 on concrete, plus it was arrow head, but shed metal Amazon Chin getting refund soon I hope, cuz seller no reply, no support, or tell you what frame goes woth it, cuz not all have money or handy man, husband, poor, et they should think of that. The frame not seem real or works though good enough material. I hope your video helps me a bit figure out what is wrecking me rn. That is the shed base which had issues with. Not what I needed. I needed floor holding base for plywood.

I'm building a 10x8 today. The overlap at the back has no measurement, just a vaguely referenced size for the total width. In trial fitting yesterday we found the panels a better indicator of finished size, and so will screw the rail after the panels are on. The instructions aren't that bad. The devil is in the missing details - such as overlap measurements!

I had a bad experience with a metal shed I would like for everybody to know the instructions tells you how to build it together but it does not tell you or brings a sealer for the bottom part so if you place it on a platform it will pour lots of water it took me weeks to seal this shed I try most every seal there is out there and screws insade the bottom real which it did not bring screws or instruction to do so

You should never make your shed base wider than the walls of the shed the reason for that is when the rain comes off the walls inside there's nothing you can do to stop it from getting under and going inside not even if you put silicone next time you make the size of the floor in quarter of an inch smaller than the so the water runs off the side and down on the ground if you understand what I mean

This has to be the worst shed I’ve ever built. I stringently followed the instructions. After three weeks of the shed being finished the roof started to leak. I patched all overlapping roof panels as well as silicon dabbing all screw holes. Water comes through the roof still as well as through some of the poorly machines holes! I’m taking it down and replacing it with a custom built wood shed!

Wow seriously thank you for doing this but you need to learn how to use a video camera, jerky and drifting so that it is not easy to actually see what you are doing, maybe get a stand if you cannot hold the video recorder or get someone to hold it for you so that your videos are watchable.

I wouldn't recommend one of these sheds to my worst enemy. They are a nightmare to put up and once have finished it will leak like a sieve. They really ought to be stopped from selling these; that is how poor the quality is. I really wished I had seen the comments below before I bought mine. It would have saved me a lot of hard work but more to the point I wouldn't been landed with this pile of crap.
