I battled with this decision! But, I bought the Xbox Elite 2 Core! This new controller is a controversial release for a lot of folks. Some are upset with the cost, the missing accessories, the lack of a new a release! When is Xbox going to release a new controller to rival the upcoming PlayStation Dual Sense Edge Controller that will release soon??

wow just purchased so watching videos untill it arrives i had the elite series 2 but my buttons were sticky after spilling hot tea on it lol, good excuse to get this black and white version plus i have the component pack from the elite 2 as well, Glad i happen upon your channel great content and i just subscribed!

I got the Elite Series 2 a week ago and absolutely love it. I also bought the PS DS Edge and that was returned two days ago. There’s no comparison in build, battery, and pro features. That being said I sort of wish I had bought the white Core controller. It looks so nice. I only got the black because it matches the Series X but I also have a Series S and this would look so nice with it.

I'm probably gonna pull the trigger and pick one up for my self, I've been patiently waiting for the Elite series 3 but I don't see it coming out within the next year or two. Good thing I already own the extra accessories 👍

Great video, thank you for this. I already have the black elite series 2 which has lasted me a good 2 years and I love the controller but it’s got bad stick drift and the left bumper is broken. Tempted to get the core elite 2 along with the extended warranty for my peace of mind. You feel I should wait for the Elite 3?

Great overview, I was not a fan of the paddles of the elite 2 (too small). I ended up purchasing scuf paddles for the elite 2 love them would suggest a try.

I had the Elite 1, but while moving my xbox between rooms my left bumper and trigger somehow broke making the controller unusable. I didn't even know there was a difference between the Elite 2 and 2 core other than price when purchasing, then looked more into it and decided it was better seeing as I have all the accessories already from the E1 made it perfect. Plus I like how the E2 has 3 trigger stop options rather than just on and off. In anycase I've found a charging dock on amazon for $15, but already having to charge my turtle beach using USBC cable it's really not needed since both have pretty great battery life, I can alternate by each time I play.

I love my matte black Elite 2, but I actually wanna get the white core version too just to have as an extra plus it looks really nice! I only wish they would invert the colors of the lettering on the controllers. White letters on the Elite 2, black letters on the Core 2, maybe give us a little back-lighting on the buttons too? The lettering is a big glaring design flaw I can't help but think about every time I pick it up.

I wish they would allow you to customize a white version in the design lab but you can’t choose the white top buttons as an option unfortunately so you can’t replicate this design either!!

What you said in this video made a whole lot of sense. I would buy the controller for it's customization and robustness. I also want to add that people really be sleeping on Ebay. Man the number of high quality products I purchased on that site for cheap is ridiculous. That white does look amazing!!!! I think I will wait until the royal blue one comes out. But damn that white though. Lol!!!!

Yes!! I think Amazon created a sense of customer service and fast shipping while eBay stayed the course. They’ve made lots of improvements over the last 3 years specifically that really compete well with Amazon. eBay still remains the most “marketplace” style of the two. But it’s a great e-commerce platform I think that old heads like me and others still use lol

I really don't like the D pad. I keep hitting the wrong direction. With or without the attachment piece for it. Also, for some reason my right stick gets pushed in randomly and will have me knifing/ honking horns in cod randomly. Doesn't happen all the time but still.. idk if it's a settings issue or a controller issue . Other than that I love it.

Scuf makes paddles that fit the elite $20. Way better than the stock xbox paddles.

Just got this today, coming from an Xbox One controller. My hands ate medium size, probably a hit smaller than most and yet, I found the elite core a bit too small for my taste. Maybe I got too used to the bigger xbox one controller

It's so sad, because they are indeed close to perfection. I've had so many V2's now and had the luck that the store kept giving me a new one. Rubber grips letting loose, LB/RB buttons not responding unless you press it way too hard, and now my two months old V2 has sticky X button and pops out after a few seconds. Super annoying. It was a little promising when they said "we hear you." but then it turns out to be BS. Disappointing.

I might return my elite 2 at Costco and find back paddles on eBay and just buy this one but back paddles for call of duty is a must!!!!

I bought a elite 2 few days ago, the old one for 127€, so yea the core is 'overpriced' atm. I don't even remember when the last time was that the elite 2 was sold for more than 147€, at least at my region. But still I like it's look and for someone who doesnt care about the accessories it's not that bad. I hope the elite 3 will come with better quality controll and maybe with something like the new sticks from gulikit, which can't get Stick Drift. The new PS edge controller made them swapable but they are still same old Sticks..

welp we be seening a new video on this do not buy it . you change you minde again people been having problems with the core 2 look it up this other guy controller his right stick is stuck in one direction and buttons are not regastering .also the elite core 2 is retail for 129$ best buy 129 walmart 129 amazon in stock for 129 not just ant online
