Nice video! Quick tip: when I want to check my cam timing at home (sans draw board) I tie my bowstring (not d loop) to my pull up bar and pull downwards to full draw. That puts my cams/draw stops roughly at eye level for inspection.

@@meatheadmarksman2013 I bet it would make a nice lat pulldown machine in a pinch 🤣! One word of caution though: be careful not to torque your bow when you let it back up (down? 🤔). String derailments really increase the pucker factor of working on your own bows.

I feel ya man, had a John Dudley knock 2 it realease and the jaw broke when pulling back and smashed my new riser on my hoyt carbon rx1. Carter releases hooked it up though fixed the knock to it and threw in a new carter 3 finger release for free. But the riser eeek was ruined. Got rid of the two fingers on to the 3 finger release way better...

Such a horrible feeling lol I've been using a tru fire sear which is a thick 4 finger hinge release for a while now and it hasn't broken. Much easier to hold aswell because it's just much bigger and meatier then my other ones

Bruh! Same set up as me, except I’ve got the smack down limb driven rest. Pro tip, change the cable slide over to a Saunders hyper glide. About 30 dollaridoos. Makes that draw cycle as smooth as duck shit. I shot it against the Kuma, elite ritual and Hoyt nitux and honestly, there ain’t $6-700 difference between those bows, and has less hand shock than the Hoyt. It’s a shooter 👌🏼

AGREED! its a sweeeeeet rig, comparable to much pricier bows. ive seen a few good options for the cable guide upgrade, i was leaning towards one with the rollers like the pse or just wacking a chinese ebay job on there. Im thinking of leaving that rest on there and getting a new one for my other bow instead of putting it back on the other one. -i want to love the hoyts... but i dont... they just dont speak my language lol now i have to try not to buy the mathews vxr....
@bradsmall6637
@bradsmall6637 4 жыл бұрын
Give the Chinese rollers a miss, Ive had 2 and both drop the axles from the rod rollers. Keep in mind the roller style also hang out further toward the arrow, when I lined up the Chinese one I have it looked like it would get contact. You could use an offset rod but then you would be pulling those cables over a fair bit more and would need to tune it to suit. It can be done, just a pain in the arse.

@meatheadmarksman2013 4 жыл бұрын
I have expencive taste lol nothing to be ashamed of with that, it's a weird movement that most people havnt done before so it's always hard the first time you do it. if you get a 60lb bow usually you can wind a good many pounds down on the limb bolts and wind them up a little each week or month as you get stronger and can handle a bit more. A slower bow will also be easier to draw back then a faster bow. Also if you wanna get the most out of your dollar go to an archery shop not a gun shop... gun shops generally sell garbage bows for way more then a good beginners bow from an archery shop and they have no expertise to help you make good choices

@@meatheadmarksman2013 haha! Nice. Whatever works man, I just had to poke a little fun when I saw it upside down.
