I think that the french door detects for a crafting table or something with a skulk sensor and won't let someone with a crafting table in. Or it's just timed and/or rigged at certain times to open (when purpler goes near)

for the first one you should probably have made the target block go downwards, it moves the same way each time which means people could actually be able to hit it if they try just a few times, it going downwards would be harder

Should've done a Rube Goldberg machine out of a redstone contraption to do something weird that serves no real purpose, like maybe an entire complex contraption you have to stay within the chunk of just to get a single block or item with little purpose or that you could easily obtain normally.

Idea: a machine that makes snowballs EXPLODE until they hit a block or despawn, with a 0.001 second delay so the TNT explodes blocks and if you shoot an arrow, a snowball will keep spawning at it until it stops moving, but starts again when moving any way, and 100 TNT minecarts spawn if you pick up an arrow.
