Hi Laura. First of all I love your lettering designs, very cool. Also you may want to consider shortening the mic cables. Thats an easy DIY fix. Just cut the cable and resolder (or get new neutrik connectors). There are heaps of videos online if you have never done it before. It would clean up the base of the case nicely :)

Very nice!

I love the esthetic of the steel fittings and corner guards, and you did a great job at fitting everything nicely. I am concerned, however, about the way you designed the case itself, considering the kind of wood you used. There is a reason that solid wood cabinets are made with floating panels, and is because wood will expand and contract different amounts depending on which direction the grain is oriented (in short, it will expand/contact 400x as much across the growth rings, and 800x as much along the growth rings, as it will along the grain). I am almost sure that, at some point when the humidity level changes, a box designed like this will tear itself apart. To solve this, without all the hassle of floating panels, you could just use plywood, which cancels out the differences due to lamination. Sorry for the long post, keep up the awesome videos!

Vor was mehr als einen Jahr eine gute Podcast Box gebaut. Aber ne reicht nicht, und dann baut sie sich halt eine Neue, garkein Problem! Ist wieder richtig schick geworden und die Befestigung des Mehrfachsteckers mit den Aluprofilen hab ich auch mal schon genauso gemacht, ist super!!
