My great grandfather started out with a chalk track on his land which my grandad and great uncles used for racing their motorcycles. Others would come along to race them too. That track is now known to bikers and those who do track days etc as CADWELL PARK. My family sold it, iirc in the early 1980's when my Grandad and his brothers were close to retirement age and insurance had become very expensive due to a few fatalities. This is an amazing track to have on your land, Mark.

I used to build tracks for rage buggy’s for a day job. A U.K. track has to be 100% built around drainage, get that right and your half way there. The track surface needs to be higher than the surrounding land so any water that falls on the track goes down and out the sides then it’s making sure you have your cambers sorted so you direct the water the way it needs to go. Best of luck with the project, get a nice flowing fun track is super rewarding!
