Only thing you should have thought is heat pump wont work in peak winstor winter days. So, how do we sell or rent as a four season option.

Personally I would have preferred the living spaces upstairs since I love lots of sunlight. The bedrooms can be downstairs since I like to sleep in the dark. But great job overall 👍🏼 I'm sure that space will rent easily.

If I could buy it , I would pay around 200k for it. After you sell it, please share the build cost, I don't think it was cheap. Really cool, to be honest I always wanted a house like that for myself very efficient and does job. I love it.

I couldn't tell if the second unit you built is also facing a road? Or it is enclosed by fence ? Also are you able to provide a rough range how much it costs to build a second unit like this?

Facing inside, Apx construction cost 250$ per sq ft.

Heat pumps will not heat your home if it gets past -10. Not to mention it just recycles stale air in the room. It might look good visually but this guy “cheaped out”. Also, how does your HRV work with no duct work? I’ve installed hundred of these and I’ve never seen it stuffed in a crawl space with spider duct work.

If you want to do by yourself, hire a BCIN designer or architect get the drawings and get the permit from city and than start building (I just hired builder, who takes care of everything)

Hey Bishu You can buy directly but it would cost you 20% foreign taxes extra, and you might need more than 30% down. Or you can partner with any friends/family who has canada PR or citizenship

As someone who lives in Windsor, this is NOT what this city needs. Renting out a home, that shares a lot with another home, for double the mortgage payment of the original home is not the future.

This is the reason that Windsor residents are paying so much for rent. Investors buying up properties and charging locals ridiculous prices so they don’t have to pay the mortgage. Windsor doesn’t need empty houses used as short term rentals like Airbnb. I completely understand that investors can do what they want but it’s really not benefitting people living here.

@@jgalt5002 nope. Even with a low ambient kit a heat up will not heat a home like this. Only application for these in the winter are for Server rooms or on the warmer days.
