I just came up with an idea, while watching this, I thought this house would look good in Glimmerbrook too. Then again, it also would look good in Henford-on-Bagley with a different roof and made from stone. Why not create a challenge where you use the same house but make it for different worlds in the game. Such as Oasis Springs, you can give it a Spanish Style, while in Willow Creek, give it a large front porch and bay windows. And so on... Have it in at least 3 different worlds, but keep the general shape of the build, the same number of rooms, floorplan, and budget. How's that for a challenge?

Maybe add a color randomizer to the generator too? It can give you a couple, so you are challenged to use a color scheme that pushes your comfort zone too.

I think it should have an option for the type of sims you are making the house for. I know it has ages, but throw in for a vampire or plantsim, or a painter or chef. Because most of the time when I build, its for a specific sim or specific type of sim.

The randomizer gave me a family of 4 in a 38 tile tiny home, I cried so much 😂

I wonder how much simoleons you'd save if you didn't put the flooring on the whole lot in the very beginning. Those floortiles under the house still count to the budget

That free-standing pillow is FOR move objects. Place it on chairs or couches or beds. But also, lean it against the front edge of a sofa, as if your Sim was gonna lean back against the sofa.

idk why but cottage living has a wood *tone that almost perfectly matches the wood around this lot (and the bar lot right next to it) (edit: the tone matches almost perfect, like when in manage worlds you can't tell it's different, but the structure close up is different sadly. I'm lowkey upset they didn't just give us the dock wood with cats&dogs)

My favorite pass-time lately has been using James’ random build randomizer to come up with a challenge for my husband, who has never played Sims, to do. 😅 He only gets a few phone-a-friends to ask for my help. And we are console simmers so watching him try to figure out the controls and seeing the way he does things has been glorious. 🤣🤣🤣 his last house ended up being a cult house where they worship aliens and the color orange. Next up is going to be the tiny home randomizer. He’s gonna flip his lid 😂

The randomizer gave two builds which were so challenging for many reasons. The first was a 32 tile Batuu-styled tiny home but it had to fir an adult, young adult child and infant. The other was just from the random builder and it was for a simfluencer who loves holidays and hated pitched roofs. The budget killed me on this one because it was over 100k. Then end result look like something Clark Griswold would do.

That one empty corner of the kitchen is just begging for a bin! Any bin 😂To be fair your priorities were pretty solid, at least there's an outdoor one! Coulda skimped on the reading chairs or deleted one but they're so cozy!

For an additional challenge you can design your home around the random object (here: the bow) to make it harder :)

I think if we're me I would've used stairs instead of the ladder and have it come up to a mezzanine level bedroom. Not that James's version isn't really nice. It is.
