I'm working on a similar build, a green Victorian with heavy Realm of Magic themes, so I totally understand your issue with the windows. Honestly, I've noticed that Realm of Magic goes surprisingly well with Cottage Living. The swatches on the little circle stained glass window from CL with the butterfly/bee/fox on it match the RoM stained glass windows perfectly. The bathroom stuff is pretty difficult though. Yours looks super cute! I'm definitely taking notes on your landscaping

if you drag your mouse down a little bit so that the curtains dont snap on the window but on the wall, then you can press the keys to lift them up so they align the way you want! i hope it works out and helps you! i get that problem with curtains all the time

Definitely agree with landscaping in general. I'll never understand why we get access to weird plants that don't exist in the world in the default catalogue. So if you don't go into debug you just look weirdly special on your lot because NONE of your plants match the surrounding world. Then there's just a ton of plants that don't look good, like that lime green bush. To finish it all off, there really isn't enough low lying plants in general. There's not many good flowerbed options nor greenery to fill in areas. There's barely even any good options for a more magical looking garden and Realm of Magic exists.. It's like they purposefully don't want us to have good landscaping options and lock it all behind debug only.

What’s funny is the little square/rectangle window in Realm of Magic is one of my favorite windows. I use the regular black and white swatches on it. I find it really works in modern-type builds.

realm of magic is definitely one of the packs that REALLY needs an update- especially needs upper cabinets of some sort + more window variation

I love occults in the sims, although lately ive been playing more sims 3, and ive actually managed to figure out the building mechanics finally lol. I like the occults in sims 3 they have a simple invisible skill bar and thats how they learn spells

What if for one of your challenges you did a house that was completely mismatched on purpose? Like every wing/room of the house has a completely different exterior and interior theme and they're all smushed onto each other like a patchwork quilt? I think it would actually give you a valid excuse to use things that have horrible swatching or don't fit in next to anything else. :0

That house would be perfect for Cassandra goth when she gets older and moves out on her own. She could practice magic and become a witch and find her special somebody in her life and settle down in this home. she is a goth after all. She is wiccan thru and thru.

I just have the basegame, because packs, kits and extentions are way too expensive for my taste. Thats why I have few people on youtube I love to watch building. You are one of them. This house in particular isnt your normal style, but you were able to hit my style and vibe spot on. Thank you for this Cottage :)

i love this so much! i also totally agree, i have such a love-hate relationship with realm of magic’s build/buy content. the stained glass is so beautiful but it’s so difficult to use, and the bathroom stuff is so ✨extra✨ for no reason. i however do love that stupid fireplace. i don’t know why, but i just do. the blue flames are just entirely too pretty, but i miss the ability we had in the sims 3 to change the color of the flames, and the ability to fully customize every item.

Recently I’ve been binge watching your videos and I noticed that you often question whether the sims can walk around certain items etc. idk if you already know this but sims technically only need half a tile to be able to walk somewhere. So often you should be good to go :) hope this helps (also lemme know if these are fake news lol)

The art deco style can be seen in the ROM bathroom. Correct me if I'm wrong. I really like the peacock sink! I used dusty pink ROM tiles, two peacock sinks, a toilet, and a vampire bathtub. The room must be large. I use platforms and arches. Everyone likes something different. As I say in my country, “all markers taste different”))) I liked the house. I also have difficulties with the doors and windows from ROM.
