This is amazing, I love how little lag it causes, but I wish that there was a shulker box loader or other kind of storage system that could keep up with this, but unfortunately that would be limited by hopper speed, unlike this sorter.

The amount of time it took for those 9 full chests to be sorted made me uncomfortable. I’ve been experimenting with using stack separation sorting with variable sorters as a way to separate item types for parallel input into a main storage. It seems promising so far as a relatively simple solution to parallel sorting.

I feel the better use of this is blacklisting items from a large farm and burning them below as with enough filters you can guarantee the output at the end of the line will only be unstackables. Ex: sorting out sticks and glass bottles from a raid farm so you can collect totems of undying in bulk.

Just stumbled upon this and amazing stuff, jaw literally dropped watching it. Does it work with a constant stream of items that aren't necessarily a full stack or do you need a buffer to allow items to bunch up and then go through the system? Either way it's such an elegant system watching it work. Can only imagine a shit ton of shulker box loaders working in tandem to gather the items to be the only reasonable solution to collection 😂

I think entity seperation sorting has a lot of potential, but the main issue of it for me is that I can't find a proper box loader setup for it, which makes it ever-so-slightly less appealing than the standard 1wt sorter+loader spam.

I really love this build dude! I'm trying to use it for a piglin bartering nether setup and extended it to 13 filters per each side. Only problem, most items for the additional sections are getting stuck or burnt. Any idea how to fix this? I'm a bit stumped.

Add cubicmetre's shulker unloader then all thats left is mojang needs to add a way faster way to load chests/shulkers then we can have the world most over engineered item sorting system that unloads and sorts into shulkerboxes at 1m items/hour

Is it just me or do the items behave differently in 1.20? The stack seperation still works fine but they dont get pushed down by the sorter anymore. They fly off or just go through. Did they change something in the code with item allignment or water streams?

Any chance you could build a spawn proof version of this so I can use it with a raid farm?

Can this theoretically be adapted into a parallel unloading array? If the following is possible: Instead of keeping 63 items in the filters, allow it to run down to 0 then the items are filled by those that are unloaded. Each different item goes into a buffer which unloads at 1hs or 2hs depending on the system. Seems a lot more elegant to me than the set based one by Glotz. I’m setting up a storage hall and have Glotz’ system connected but was looking at either designing my own or adapting a stack separation system like this one

Amazing build, as always! I love this so much! I would love to use this on my SMP. Is there anyone else besides you, theGlotzerify, DatNerd, and _MethodZz_ who I should credit for the build? Or any specific links you want shared? You listed a few more people at the end of the video. And I don’t want to exclude anyone / spell anyone’s name wrong. Lol (My SMP is a bunch of really small, new KZfaqrs / streamers. So this will likely be in our content at some point, if it’s okay to use)
