''I Buried Thousands in Secret Mass Graves'' | Informer

A Syrian bulldozer driver reveals the horrifying details of burying thousands in secret mass graves.
The Informer is haunted by the mass graves he dug for victims killed by Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
As the revolution unfolded, his municipal role changed into a military position overnight.
This meant, for a year, the Informer was pushing dead bodies into large pits with his bulldozer. He recalls the stench of the bodies being so strong that he’d passed out the first time.
The Informer was later arrested on flimsy charges and imprisoned under brutal conditions because “if he dies, he will die with all of his secrets and knowledge”.

It is not that simple, the biggest pillar supporting the Syrian fascist regime is a coalition of minorities mainly Alwaites, Christians, Druzes, Ismailites.. because those communities know well what atrocities and oppression by the Muslim Sunni arab majority in an Islamic Republic ruled by shariaa, I also have a Syrian friend who is pro regime and his explanation is either us or them, or we would rather have no Syria at all then leave it to sunnis who will expell us from our homes slowly and steadily.

When I tell you when he started talking about that child it literally brought tears to my eyes bruh. Smh. The things we take for granted, man. And what's so sad, even though we hear about stuff like this happening all over the world we really don't care enough to actually do anything unless it happens to us personally. Then and only then do most of us get active. There's a quote that goes something like "the people who do nothing are as bad as the people who commit the crimes." These type of stories never get easier to hear. May Yahuah help us!

People who say, “you would’ve had to just kill me”, are not thinking about these men and how much they loved their families. Are you really going to leave your daughters and wife to be victimized by these monsters all around you? You have to become a monster as well. You have to try to remember what it’s like to be innocent and loving and you have to hope you can still be human enough to guide your children when it’s all over. Until then you are at the mercy of the tremendous evil that has occupied your country and is turning men and women into demons. It’s literally survival. Also, the truest test of integrity. Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for your brother?

Bull dozer. Tracked construction machines go very slow and will tear up roads just traveling on them. Not that the military cares or would even refuel it. Big machines leave plenty of evidence of their presence. Way more then hand shovels.

@@casperchristensen6451 Even in 2005 it had all those cultural elements and deep historical roots, the regime was still brutal agaisnt any opposition but that is different from repeated rocket attacks and shelling in the town square. The destruction from the war itself is immense. This is why Syria is a difficult issue. The regime itself was, as we can see in the video, clearly evil but the revolution against the regime produced more destruction than existed under the regime. Also Raqqa was intensely shelled by the United States while they were besieging the town when it was under IS-control. The Pentagon said the Marine unit used more mortar muntions than any other unit since the Vietnam War.
