I think the demo actually does move the ball it just won’t move it from a sitting position for some reason. It’s gotta already be moving and then the demo will launch it if it happens close enough

Incorrect. Demos *used* to have a very small affect on the ball. It was a left over from early development where they intended there to be a bigger effect but then changed car and ball masses without changing the demo effect. This small force was finally removed from the game a couple years ago. Note: before that patch I imagine the lighting bolt of cars leaving would also affect the ball because technically behind the scenes a car leaving is considered a demolition.

@@Rocket_Sledge I swear I’ve seen demos launch the ball quite a few times especially in rumble, at least it feels like it’s almost powering up your hit for a split second after a demo because I’ve demoed people and hit the ball basically at the same time and it gets absolutely sent, like way further than it ever does if I just hit the ball at that same speed and don’t demo anyone in the process. Idk for sure tho it could just be getting pinched or double hit or sumn weird like that
