I Came THIS CLOSE To Conquering All Four Projects (1)

Welcome to ‪@ExpeditionEngineering‬ Everyone!!!!
I am SO proud of you finding your way here. We're on a journey to fix EVERYTHING on this boat Eva and it starts today. And I come THIS CLOSE to conquering all four. But alas.
But really the goal was to sort out the problems with out #lithium battery bank. Because we're in the process of installing an #induction cooktop along with a ‪@NinjaKitchenUS‬ Air fryer. And while we flail around on those, let's open up the #miniwashingmachine and see why it isn't working!
Hey so the idea here is that I miss the good time on the internet. It's turned sour and mean, so take some time and come hang out with me as we work. Leave a comment, share some love, and go reply to someone else's comment - say hi!
Take care everyone, seeya next time
Do you recognize me? Probably because our main channel is ‪@ExpeditionEvans‬ come on over and say hi!

OK, just a quick word on the Ninja double oven. We live in a travel trailer and got tired of fighting with the gas oven. It was so small you couldn't even put a small cake pan in it, if you got it started. My wife decided to bite the bullet and try the ninja. We Love it!!! We use it just like a regular oven and so far it has beaten our expectations!!! Enjoy my friends, y'all did good!!

we have an OSTER TOASTER OVEN with the double doors.... it has a BUMP OUT BACK to fit a 16 inch pizza and it will fit a 9x13 baker if it is HANDLELESS well not flat outward streatching handles... ;) BUT IT FITS A 9x9 brownie pan with the PERFECK amount of space around it!@!! LOL Ninja's usually are good stuff tho too ;) we would have a NINJA blender if we didn't have a VITAMIX already ;0 sniker, VITAMIX THERE IS A DIFFERENCE !!!!! *I* was told to stay with the VITAMIX's with the 1 thru 10 dial and the HIGH/LO .... and PULSE switchs...... NOT THE ONES THAT HAVE ALL THE PRESETS but that was a few years ago they said the presets have issues before the basic 1 to 10 dial ones do ;) we got a 7 year warrentee that was doubled ... we didn't need to use it... still working GREAT !: )

Hey! I like the way Brett constantly just work towards the solution without dropouts. He never lose it. Just solve the problem with what it takes. (To look at a problem like it’s a living thing is devastating and contagious. ) That’s not this guys thing. That’s what’s admirable. Many brothers lose temper... That’s something I learn not to do. Brett is a raw model in every situation. That’s his strength and trick to succeed. That’s how he became a pilot. He is a doer. Rock on 🤘

Brett, the green stuff you saw on copper is essentially malachite (copper+co2+water). it is not like regular iron corrosion and only grows on places exposed to co2(usually regular air), no need to worry as much as iron corrosion for sealed copper.

I saw you using some cool tools a while back that I had to have as well. Gat a motorhome I am putting Battle Born batteries in and the whole solar setup. I think those have a 10 year warrenty so they should replace them, shipping might suck though. Keep up the good work, love it!!

Love the new channel, looking forward to your resolution of these problems. From the looks of your washer drain and your comment about the filter material, I see more projects ahead in the very near future. I'm looking forward to your investigation as to why the battery performance is so poor, even if you are taxing them with heavy use I would expect them to perform much better than they are. Your new electric oven seems like it will be a good fit, both physically as well as efficient use of power, a propane leak can be devastating, even more so on a boat at sea.

Hey Brett, often on modern electronic washing machines there will be a diagnostic mode you can put it in that will tell you what the problem is, or at least it might put you on the right track. If you can't get hold of the service manual maybe the manufacturer can give you some information on how to read diagnostic codes. Seeing the amount of charcoal in the drain I'd say there is a high chance one or both of the input values may be blocked, it might be worth checking first.

Consider EG4 48 volt waterproof server rack batteries for next exchange. Having multiple bms batteries paralleled together is very problematic. Pluss they cost $1200 for 400 amp/hr , and 48volt batteries paralleled work wonderful. You will need a new inverter but that's only a grand as well and will charge faster than the 12 volt one , and optionally will accept 120volt and 220 volt universal power. Cheers and fair winds Steve h

Hi 👋, Brett , That was a great start to your Engineering shop, Adventure, in your water supply, I presume you’ve got charcoal filters, is it possible they are degrading, And your water purification system is not working correctly, As I presume you’re taking water from the sea and going through purifier, a friend of mine in the UK, brought a ninja air cooking device last year, and they very rarely use their main oven, they cook 24 seven using the ninja, they swear by it, a great bit of kit, I am thinking of approaching scene one myself, hopefully in a few weeks time as I live by myself, Please be very careful choosing your batteries, people say that lithium batteries are not dangerous, but they are, There is a company called Port 32, and there is quite a few others, all given relative good information about these type of batteries, Concern about insurance , I think I noticed somebody else passing comment, that the batteries had to be installed by a professional, I’m not saying you’re not a professional, but it might be worth enquiring before you go and do the job, And there has been a huge amount of vehicles catching fire, worth having a look on KZfaq if you know what that program is😂, stay safe keep up the great work very very interesting,

@@BilldalSWE More than likely it is a big imbalance which the BMS cannot keep up with. With no Bluetooth, there is no way to see it happening and take the needed steps to correct it. This is why I would never buy a Battle Born {or Dakotat Lithium] battery.
@camdening7315

52% in a few years is scary… installation looks spot on with the Lynx power in, and equal length cables, no reason why these wouldn’t be covered by warranty. But what happens in a few years when your warranty replaced batteries fail? Will they give those a full warranty? A good quality lithium battery should be good for 10+ years with a pretty deep cycle every day. Very concerning. Sailing Uma is in the process of ditching their battle born batteries as well. Very interested to see how they handle this warranty claim…

We have a propane oven and cook top that we don’t use. Instead we use a home over the stove GE microwave, convection oven, air fryer that cost about $600 and replaced an earlier microwave that occupied the same place. The convection oven will bake and roast like any other electric oven. On top of the propane cooktop we placed a 2 hub conduction hot plate. Both run off 110 volts. In an emergency , we still have the propane stove and cooktop with three propane tanks.

Interesting about the batteries. The LI bats are supposed to be much more robust than PB with many more years of cycle life.. Your real-life tory seems to tell something different.. I'm enjoying ExpEng as I think many of us techno-types will. So far, my travel trailer subsists on an 80AH Marine battery with constant care of a shore powered converter. No problems during a 28 day, 5,410 mile road trip through 33 states. I do like the propane heater and 2/way refer ro keep things both warm and cold. Thanks again for inviting us along your journeys.

I always pictured having the entire electrical system as high as possible inside the cabin. I know it would take some major engineering to support the batteries from the cabin top, but salt water and batteries generally aren’t friends. If I recall, battle born donated those batteries to you, and hopefully they will still offer some kinda warranty.
