Question: where do you do all these works? Do you have a trusted contractor?

I admire your effort but I think you should cut your loss. I don't see how this is going to work. If you hang an inflatable from it and then heal over you will get a lot of sideways stress that will be transferred to the deck by what looks like 2 inches. Think of it as a 5 foot crow bar! How are you expecting this setup to handle the sideways stress of a pounding sea on a heal?

You can add paint to epoxy to make marbled glossy colors like the one Jade made with the nail paint. There's a lot of KZfaqrs who make fake marble countertops and shower enclosures with this method. It's beautiful, quick, cheap, easy, lightweight.
@davidt162122 күн бұрын
You can just wrap it with cheap regular vinyl film wrap, like what's used on car wraps, to cover your amateur non-prepreg carbon fiber part. Then it's waterproof, lightweight, and beautiful. Super easy fix and every color you could ever imagine, glossy or matte or whatever you please just like car wraps.

Have you thought about making a Stainless plate to epoxy iin the base asa washer to hold bolts in place and spread the load?

HORRIBLE MAINTENANCE,now that I have everyone's attention. This is for people who have sailboats,what I see is a motor that is way over fueled. Go on a VW tdi site and look for how to clean your injectors and after that go to a country that has a certified mechanic that knows how to run the rack on the injector pump. most of you are in places that are considered third world counties, just because someone said that they know how to work on a motor does not mean they can do it correctly. everybody should look up their engine and familiarize themselves in case of problems that are a simple fix or at least keep from getting raped by some of these so called mechanics. Remember AAA does not go everywhere.

It looks like a wing. Have you engineering in the load at hurricane force winds?
@coralgwyn-williams9933Ай бұрын
random question since I love your videos but know less than nothing about sailing...will the new hardtop compromise the stability of the boat as far as wind goes?
@paladine6Ай бұрын
You should watch videos from Spear It Animal channel. They have same boat class and added a new hard top like that, but they raised their boom to get it higher so more room to stand under. Also added a stripper pole on top lol.
@dyspepticcurmudgeon4136Ай бұрын
Geez man, you need to learn how to properly set the outhaul. This has bothered me going back to your first sails. You set the main with far too much depth. You need to put some tell-tales on the leech, and set the outhaul and boom to have full flow over the main. As you have it, the entire back half of the main will be stalled *all the time*. And that is just drag.

CONCERN CONCERN!!!! Bret, your bolts on your Carbon Fiber wings attachment to the boat, need a metal stock plate that you screw into. Inside your wing and under your boat fiberglass. Currently you have a 1.5" washer/bolt. Over time those fibers are going to wear. Take anything plastic and move it back and forth enough times and you will have 2 pieces. Same theory with your 2 bolt holes for your carbon wings.
