I tried traditional walkie talkies with headsets and they were not loud enough for use in a busy bar environment where I film theater. I purchased two of the hollyland mars t1000 systems and joined them together and they're fantastic. We can hear each team member very clearly. We will use the systems at our annual production which is similar to the Victoria Secret Fashion Show environment. This is where we tried walkie talkies as well and they were again not loud enough and you have to press a button to talk with walkie talkies which is also no good for being behind cameras trying to film at the same time. The systems have completely revolutionized our communications and effectiveness. @Michael Beck You could but not by default. That "ethernet" connector is actually 4-wire system (just simple line audio in - audio out). Hollalyland has schematic on their website how it is connected and you can even buy Hollyland cable ehternet-> 1x XLR IN, 1x XLR OUT. And then you can build your own system with mixer when you can connect theoretically unlimited of these systems together (theoretically = limit is the frequency and channels on it). :)

If by CB you are referring to Citizen's Band radios, CBs are not full duplex, they are half duplex. You cannot have a back and forth conversation between two people like on a phone, it's only one person talking at a time. You also very rarely see CBs with VOX, they are usually PTT, which is very inconvenient in a live broadcast scenario where your hands are busy operating other equipment.
