I like your videos but man, stop using click baits like that no more. This is cringy and it’s not 2016 anymore

There’s no question GS is passionate about what they’re doing. You can see it in what they are putting out, from the spring drive, the beautiful dials, the colors, etc. And each year, it seems like they improve upon themselves. I could go on and on. What a great brand.

What I love about Grand Seiko is that they have a story around their watches and incorporate nature as a theme into their dials. They are not just a watch but a time piece that takes your imagination to the creation envisioned by the designer!

Grand Seiko all day every day, for me, and with respect to other brands, you can keep AP, PP, Rolex, VC, GS just have such a deep honesty along with supreme mechanical AND quartz genius and ability, without the arrogance of Swiss brands. GS forever! 👍👍👍❤️ Fabulous video, we’ll done Andy.

What I love about Grand Seiko now is that they inspire me like no other watches. Forget about all the stories and dials and complications. It's a humble work, they don't talk much but create one amazing piece after another. Maybe, someday I would be able to afford them and I also know that I can walk into their store and can get one of them instead of returning empty handed. And then some woke Rolex hypebeast would think I am painting destroyer anarchist.

Really cool to see those speeches, particularly the young guy. Almost overwhelmed by the moment...just as we all should be by their creation.

I remember seeing a short video of the mechanical bird bath and I was stunned… for multiple reasons.

I love to see your passion here, Andrew. It reminds me why I love this hobby, and why I try to inspire this passion in others, in my friends and my customers. Timepieces are so much more than time keepers. Your point to the struggle of creation, the work and passion that goes into these pieces, is a wake up call more of us could give credence to. Well done, sir.

Having suggested this video and clicking it and hearing the voice of Watchfinder(after coming from a video there), thinking the YT app went haywire and then reading the channel description and finally associated a face to the voice. Great experience. Thank you for what you are doing, you made me love watches and appreciate all the brands. Keep doing what you do to inspire others. Cheers, you got a new sub!

What an amazing perspective into the dedication and passion that goes into making the timepieces we all love. The creation of timeless works of art and function to capture our time in the current throw-away culture reminds me of why I collect/wear/and eventually pass down these pieces. The humility by the GS team in their award acceptance is just inspiring.

It sounds like you had some fun in Switzerland! I agree with you about connecting with a brand on a personal level. Sometimes the marketing approach it’s so clinical that the art/passion gets lost!

There is a story during the automatic chronograph competition when Zenith did the press release of the first El Primero. Seiko president Hattori was there and dropped by the booth and congratulated Zenith on their achievement. He did not mention the imminent release of the first production 6139 watches that were going on sale about a month later in Japan. There is a lot of humility and class in that response.
