the timing of this video was incredible 1. he blamed the loss on cross spawn nexus first, because its hard to scout 2. literally the next game, he scouts a nexus first and proceeds to lose half his scv's catastrophically 3. blames eggs

To Artosis credit; I remember Destiny saying something similar ... back when he used play SC2. That the lower rankers are tricky to beat due to the inordinate amount of APM and resources (and brain power) that needs to go into constantly scouting them to pick up on their unpredictable decision making, timing and strategies. I think it speaks to the depth of a game that it can, in some aspects, get more difficult the better you get. There is also a philosophical message there about not becoming too concrete in your thinking once you attain mastery... as that makes you predictable and readable which is a vulnerability. Artosis just totally misses that of course... he strikes me as a 'everything needs to be by the book' kind of guy.

Maybe I am an E rank terran (who actually I am) but when he went pushing nex first with scvs, he simply lost all workers first, while his army was way behind, then engaged a fight with a group of marines and a vulture. What else did he expect?

He didn't only loose the second because of the eggs, it was a combination too late rush (you kinda need to go with 3 marines+vult already), bad drill timing, and the vult returning due to the egg and improper control. I must say tho that that micro against a nex first is hard to pull off, and if you mess it up, it's insta gg, so the nex first build is somewhat OP. I mean it's quite low risk, and quite high reward. But saying that you can beat anyone with a rush all the time in close position and failing after and blaming it on the map only is not so nice. If the opponents are really that "bad", then he should instead just take an exp, accept that he's somewhat behind and cath up in mid-late game. But then you can expect them to attack, so you need at least a bunker or mines or siege. It's not a coincidence that high lvl terrans use a rax CC build so often, they kinda have to in order to match the strength of the 12 nex as a build in a series.

Seriously. He keeps saying how much better he is than everyone he plays. If that's the case then make the bunker and be extra safe til the late game. But then he plays late game on his 4 base economy for like 30 to 40 mins while protoss takes 3/4 of the map, he then complains about how easy it is for protoss to expand and continuously do recalls in his main. Artosis is such a clown when he plays

3:45 damn dude just work on your early-game. Not every match in every RTS has to evolve into a long-game. He really needs to be more cognizant of early-game harassers and accept that it's flat-out a good tactic. I've watched so many clips and he's always getting WHOOPED with the harass.

I played SC BW for years (around 2001 to 2005). Laddered WGT, PGT, etc. Wasn't great, but wasn't terrible. Played terran. Never once raged over a loss. Sure, I got pissed. The worst was laddering, especially when I came back and played for a few months around 2011. It could be a pretty anxiety inducing, disappointing, frustrating experience (which is why I gave it up!). But never raged like this. I don't even consider myself a particularly healthy or well adjusted person. Anyway, the point is... this shit isn't healthy. What we see with Artosis in these videos, raging all the time... not healthy.

@@matteoooo4791 I think most people would hope that a serious competitor would have healthy attitudes about competition. When you compete in a zero sum game like SC, one of two competitors is going to lose. Losing is part of the game. Losing your cool over it, yelling about how unfair it is or how bad the other player is... that's not good sportsmanship. Arty consistently talks about how bad other players are, when he is LOSING to them. IT seems to me a sensible attitude is to say "well, what can I do to not lose in these situations?" Better players don't lose the way Arty does. It's OK not to be the best player in the world, but one should own their losses and learn from them. I think one can be competitive and still have respect for their opponent and still be respectful in losing. I think we should demand that of ourselves, and encourage it in everyone else.

Its funny as a sc2 fan i never watched Artosis playing games on stream. As caster.he always came across as a very nice dude and i was also aware of the artosis pylon meme. Realizing he was actually a terran player and super toxic was actually pretty shocking at first.

He does understand it. You guys are funny. You really think because he is a rager he has no idea about this game. He lives this shit. He plays it for 20+ years and has thousands and thousands of hours on commenting pro level player games. On ladder there are people that take risks, because they are like: I dont care if i loose 66% of the time, as long as i crush someone the other 33%, taking risks. That in itself is crap, like someone that does only cheese and so on. These type of players would get no where in a tournament enviroment, because after the first game they are out of ideas and the opponent figured you out. It only works because you play a random dude on the ladder for one game.
