I'm pretty sure their ports and remasters haven't been good except for GTA V from Gen 7 to Gen 8 systems, and their only genuinely good PC port as well as far as I'm aware. Their PS2 to PS4 stuff wasn't terrible either but some games suffered like Bully. I was excited to play that game because I missed out on it in the PS2 days, I never finished it because it was almost frustrating to play with the poorly handled emulation, so I nabbed it on Steam and will probably fix it up with mods whenever I feel ready to play it. GTA VI on the other hand, they are fully aware that game is going through absolute scrutiny especially after those leaks which has everyone who actually knows the basics of development very excited. But GTA Online is a testament that whatever GTA VI's online is gonna be, it's going to be horrendous mostly due to monetizing. If anyone thinks GTA VI's online won't be as bad or worse than GTA Online's current systems, they were most certainly born yesterday.

Dont buy gta 6 just watch theprofessional how it works and buy it later for 20-40bucks, I will play Anywhere Everywhere i guess its called everywhere

Well to be fair Rockstar currently has the entirety of their Mainline development team currently on GTA 6 it would be absolutely chaos to take a chunk of that team push towards a remake of rdr1

I don’t think it’s as easy as that. They still have to implement the whole story all the characters they didn’t make and along with that make sure it all works together. It’s not as simple as you put it. But rockstar could have atleast done a remaster where they improved the graphics of the original game and do bug fixes and improve frame rate or the bare minimal release a PC port.

It's definitely what's going to happen. This wasn't even the main Rockstar team working on the port. All of their leading line developers are currently working on GTA 6, and if you know them, they'll deliver a quality product

Most of us have a bad feeling about GTA 6 just based on how GTA 5 story was lackluster. But we will still buy it because... it's gta 6

Guarantee they will announce it in September/October, and then everyone will brush this under the carpet, they done the same thing in February 2022 after the Trilogy Fiasco and the abandonment of RDR2.

RDR1 + UN + DLC on Xbox digital is $45~ish. In physical, the exact same is $30. And in Xbox One X or Series X, the game will be the exact same as PS4 Pro/PS5 (4k30FPS).

And ps4 is 10 years old honestly it wouldve been better if they did this 7 years ago and I'm sure people bern asking for this for years but not as badly as other remasters, it's just weird it took this long and then they make it $50 dollars, a 13 year old game $50 just to milk it for people to get screwed over again, I regret wasting $60 in many ways for the trilogy back in 21 cuz I hardly played in the last year but even then this shows that rockstar definitely keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over and over again

30 fps is not the end of the world and this is coming from someone owning 240hz screen and rtx 2080, 60fps'ing a game without major rework could break the game spectacularly and games breaking at higher fps are even still an issue nowadays, the problem is the PRICING, $50 for a single game rerelease is just robbery

Apparently the game code was a mess, and changes were made daily without documentation, so a PC port was not the focus at that point - also since RDR1 used a customised version of ERB2 with some features ERB3 used in its final form, which the focus of ERB2 was more towards the Xbox 360 version of the game. It was only by 2011, when Rockstar San Diego made some advancements in the RAGE engine to fully support PC and newer consoles, and that was ERB3, which Max Payne 3 and GTAV used. So the only way for them to make a PC port is to transfer the game to ERB3, which would take a lot of effort.
