Damn, this genuinely sucks bro. I started playing a year ago finished the story mode and even got into online, I bought gold to access some of the roles thinking the game would grow as I played and levelled up but I quickly finished maxing out my moonshine, naturalist, bounty hunter, and trader role and completely ran out of things to do or even spend my gold and cash on. I mean it’s gotten to the point where I’ve gotten onto a train stole it and drove it around the entire map… I’ve made all my guns gold since I literally can’t do anything else with it. RDR2 is honestly an amazing game that I really enjoy I just wish they’d add more and do something with it.

To think that Rockstar, back in 2019 refused single-player DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 in favour of a lackluster and unimaginative online mode, just to keep this thing going for three years, ending up in this sad and depressing state... 🤦🤦🤦

I used to think Rockstar was one of the best video game companies ever. I used to play their other OG titles. Max Payne, and Midnight Club. Midnight Club was (and still is) one of my favorite street racing games. Rockstar Games went from a truly beloved video game company that made groundbreaking titles, to the biggest laughing stock, cash grabbing pigs in all of the gaming industry. Very sad. Edit: IMO, I believe Rockstar is worse than EA Games. Because Rockstar doesn’t communicate with us whatsoever, VS EA Games, as bad as they are, at least they communicate with their fan base.

Just to clarify something R* did not develop La Noire it was actually Team Bondi there 1 and only video game , R*,s only involvement was they published the game they had no actual involvement in the games creation . Still surprises me how many people still think that R* created La Noire.

I’ve been playing RDO since beta and it’s a damn shame to see how badly this game is treated. What’s more disheartening is the fact that this game has so much potential. At this point, I wished that R* sold the RDO property, to some other game developer , that would give the game the respect it deserves. That would kind of be ironic since R* acquired Red Dead Revolver from Capcom after that game was shelved.

I agree with everything you said in this video Professional. The lack of communication from R* is probably the number 1 thing that boils my blood. However, I do NOT think Red Dead is over and I do not think R* is going to abandon it anytime soon. If you guys notice the trend going on right now, there are alot of big time gaming companies buying out other big name companies or merging with them. You got Microsoft buying out activision and blizzard, you got Sony buying out bungie, and the craziest and specific to our problems is R* buying Zynga a mobile gaming company. So here are my theories as to what's going on behind the scenes and this is good news for RDO and very bad news at the same time: 1) R* is planning on creating more content for RDO but they are biding time to get either bought out by another company or merge with another company. 2) R* wants to wait to release all the badass updates so newer players (and there are alot of them!) can get a chance to catch up and make more money and gold so they can at least enjoy all the expensive shit they plan on dropping within the year. That's why they are doing all these bonuses and making them monthly. Get ready everything is going to cost gold guys!! 🤬 3) R* is planning on dropping new content but waiting until they are ready to launch RDO onto newer platforms (PS5, Xbox One,etc) just like they did with GTA 5. 4) R* wants to crossover RDO to mobile gaming and hop aboard the NFT train...... So that last theory is the one I'm bothered by the most and since they recently bought Zynga I feel this is the real direction RDO is heading. This is very bad and not what we want. R* and alot of these other gaming companies have bought into mobile gaming as being the future of gaming, the amount of content they can produce with little effort and so much potential for microtransactions is very lucrative and we know how much R* loves $$$$???!!! Also with introducing RDO to mobile introduces their ultimate goal and that is the bullshit NFTs. These are becoming a big conversation in the gaming developing world, there are videos about this. I'm sorry to say this guy's but you aren't looking at the big picture, gaming or at least traditional gaming and how we all knew it, is slowly dying of becoming a relic (to them). These gaming companies want NFTs to become the future of gaming and that's that. So when you guys say "RDO is dead" or "does R* care?" The answer is NO, they fucking don't because it's about money, we are just a dollar sign to them. The care and passion for fan service and developing an all encompassing game that strives to be the best is long gone. The culprit- GTA 5 ONLINE. R* opened Pandora's box when they introduced those shark cards and every gaming developer saw that and jumped right in. And now look at where we are...surrounded by greedy money hungry sharks that don't give a damn about their fans and don't give a damn about their products. This is actually a trend going on everywhere right now, one example- Hollywood movies. Star wars sequels in particular comes to mind. I have to say that I agree with everything that you just said in your rant. While I do play GTA Online, I never do any disrespectful things in saying that Red Dead Online sucks and all that; and to be fair, I have never played Red Dead Online/RDR2. So while I never experienced anything in RDO, I do agree with what you said. The Higher-Ups of Rockstar, and MOSTLY Take Two, should just tell us the true answer to what they want to do with Red Dead Online. On the part about Shark Cards and Gold Bars, I have NEVER bought a single Shark Card in my life; even when I started playing GTA Online on the Xbox 360, I have never bought a Shark Card. And if I did play RDO, I probably would never buy Gold Bars either. And some of the stuff that I learned about making money in GTA Online, I learned from your videos. And speaking of your videos. I will admit that I did become a subscriber to your channel because of the GTA Online Lists videos; yet when you decided to move on to things that were not GTA Online related, I never unsubscribed to you. I stayed the course and watched to see where you would go; and while the cosplaying is a little weird when I first saw it, I can not remember which video it was when I saw you first cosplay during your games. Over time, I grew to appreciate that it is your style and something you wanted to try and do differently with your Walkthroughs/Let's Plays/whatever you want to call them. And seeing the games that I had left behind like Scarface: The World is Yours, Mercenaries (I never got to play that while I had a PS2), Call of Duty: Black Ops, From Russia With Love, Saints Row and Saints Row 2; I even saw some of SOCOM and GTA: San Andreas. I even saw Black Ops: Cold War through your videos. Yet seeing Scarface, Black Ops, James Bond, and Saints Row 1 & 2 were a joy to see again after quite a long time. I know that this comment is probably getting as long as your rant, and I mean that with no disrespect intended; so I will say that what the Higher-Ups in Rockstar and Take Two are doing to RDO is unexcusable, they just need to say either that they will REALLY support RDO or to end it. I hope that no one buys Shark Cards and Gold Bars; which should tell Take Two that they should focus on the fans and their games, and not their flippin greed. a big clarification to make: Rockstar has my favorite developers and writers, but it is far from my favorite video game company as a whole. I love their products, but we have gotten pretty much jack shit since 2013. We've gotten two (Admittedly fantastic, but thats not because of Rockstar. Its because of their talented developers and creative writers.) games in the past 10 years. TWO. I dont care that it takes longer to make games nowadays because of the expectations and whatnot, thats not what im mad about. im mad about the absolute lack of communication. The lack of communication is what killed companies like Valve and Rockstar. They built their empire off of being mysterious and secretive, but it gets to a point where I cant keep fucking waiting, and many others feel the same way, so these companies are stuck milking their machines (GTA Online for Rockstar and Steam and its Marketplace for Valve) because they never talk to the fans, they never talk to anyone really. Rockstar, much like Valve, is no longer a real game development studio. Theyre a software corporation. They push software, and thats all theyve been doing since around the same time span (RDR2 and HLA were released just two years apart from eachother). Theyre dead now. We will never see a GTA 6 in the same way we will never see an HL3, L4D3, TF3, or Counter-Strike 2. And if we do see a GTA 6, its going to be milked like an Edging Compilation on Xvideos.

Regarding the fanboys who are ok with them killing off RDO in favor of GTAO... I don't understand why people think a company as big as Take Two and Rockstar can't support 2 games at the same time. There's PLENTY of companies, ones that are smaller than T2 and R*, that are actively supporting and updating more than 1 title. I don't understand why it has to be us vs. them instead of gamers vs the company. They definitely don't like when you point out the fact that letting Rockstar milk GTAO means that GTA6 will take even longer, though. Most developers would LOVE to have such a dedicated fan base. What mainly pains me is how secretive R* has to be regarding their projects EVEN with the MOST NORMAL thing like DLC Content, why do we have to wait 6 months just to get a vague teaser with a image featuring a new car?

Well ain't this a surprise. It's time to wake up and realize that the Rockstar of old is long dead, with pretty much everyone who made their past games and the studio itself out the door a long time ago, and who's left is the disconnected execs who've never even played a video game and only care about market prospects and keeping investor happy. The people who defend this bs are kids who weren't even born when the studio first made their name by releasing actual amazing, innovative and genre defining titles.

I don't play games much anymore but it always pains me when fans of games or franchises are constantly let down. Things like the transformation of Rockstar is exactly why I have fallen out of love with the gaming industry. I can't even bring myself to preorder major releases anymore. I held back with BF2042 and it was clearly the right decision. Seeing the state of a game I was looking forward to really hurts. Gaming just isn't what it was when I was a teenager and playing everyday with friends.

The silence is absolutely wrong, no question about that. My suspicion is that Rockstar is waiting until they can release a next gen version of RDO and then exclusively update that and pc, using the same excuse they used when they stopped updating gtao for 360/ps3, and likely the same thing they'll do with One/PS4 once the next gen version of V is out.

Tbh I been playing red dead online and quit on gta cuz to be real gta for almost being a decade old game I have gotten over it and I can see the potential red dead can have if R* just puts a least a little bit of effort on it like a heist or something we can rob like trains or if not a heist, banks

I just heard the news that rockstar is developing another GTA game, which I’m happy about that. But at the same time RDR2 came out in fall/winter of 2018 and the franchise of Red-Dead haven’t had a major big update since the game even launch and it makes me not want to support them anymore.

The company that doesn’t do anything about cheaters in their games, well at least most profitable games but RDO probably has cheaters as well that they don’t do anything about. They are literally giving RDO the Midnight Club treatment. I also don’t understand people defending them, their parent company literally harassed a person making a mod for Red Dead Redemption on emulators so I don’t want to hear anything about harassing developers. We’re trying to be loyal to a company that isn’t respecting our loyalty.

At the beginning of the news wire they said the coming months you can enjoy bonuses and discounts in content that they’ve added since launch. They’re giving no updates and unless they talk about this at the investors call, I think this game is done.
