Thank you for the honest review! I've been going back and forth on this and I never noticed the 6.25U spacebar only config. Also feel better about skipping this since I went all out on Tiger 80 and Tiger 80 lite earlier this year :) Awesome work per usual - thanks Andy!

Tiger80 gang! The first few builds in mine I wasn't a fan, but after taping the flex cuts with some duct tape, force break and running some mx blacks + case and plate foam this has been my endgame. I'd honestly buy another

Idk. I like that these options are a thing. I have had quite a number of friends come to me and ask where to start to look for keyboards. Which is great! But there is something special about those higher priced rectangles that someone put their heart and soul into to make and bring their idea to the world. I think there needs to be a mad respect for both ends of the hobby

Awesome Video Andy! i Cop the black tkl with SS Silver gonna pair them up with Gateron Oil Kings and GMK Honor Dark!! its gonna be epic! What made me like this board is just the multiple connectivity and its creative weight designs! it literally took me days to find my favourite Colourway😂

I clicked in so fast because I knew it was about the zoom just based on the title! Can't wait for mine to be delivered! Only gripe though was wishing the PCB had no flex cuts and were 1.6mm thick instead

alot of people dont want the flex cuts on the pcb(you can mod them tho) hopefully they make a new pcb without flexcuts for round 2

While I understand the logic behind needing a 6.25u layout because of the dedicated function key, they could just as easily do what 60%s do and have a 1u key next to the right shift that works as the function key. Would look a lot better, IMO. (or, just as likely, they could just have one winkey on the left and a Fn key on the right.

Hoping that R2 will provide better RGB (per key) and adds a 7u Spacebar. Other than that this is a great value.

Thanks for the review Andy! Just curious, is the appeal of the 7u bottom row mostly aesthetic or is there a functional benefit as well? I’ve built boards both ways and generally am slightly annoyed by missing one key vs. a standard bottom row, and have also found that some budget keycap sets are missing a 7u space bar (seemingly less common now than say 2 yrs ago), but that’s just me.

Aesthetic mostly. Most people don’t use that extra key. Yes some budget sets like ones on Amazon skip the 7u.

Had to go the smart route. I ordered the FreeBird 75, zoom TKL, qk75, class 80, and jris. Only board at home right now is my tiger 80. After I typed on the tiger I sold my q3/idobao/gmmkpro/bakeneko. Keyboards are fun

@@AndyVNguyen I bring one to work and back home everyday so the 200-300 base kit price is best for me I don't feel comfortable leaving the 1000 dollar keyboards laying around so I chose to get many instead. I made sure all 7 have different plate materials at least. Haha love the video and the ending points even if it says what I'm doing is bad

Appreciate your honesty. In my humble opinion though, I don't think more premium boards will offer anything significant. As long as it feels good to type on and sounds good, I would say it's a great deal!

I definitely agree. If you just want good sound and feel you can get it much cheaper. The premium is moreso collecting tbh. You get into very incremental gains

This would kill the keychron q3 board if they will be in stock after the GB, otherwise the q3 is still the go to tkl board at that price.

If layout isn't a factor, imo the qk75 is objectively the better board. I want a tkl and I very much like the zoom tkl aesthetic, so for me, the choice is easy
