Who shall be punished? Please be more realistic rather than be consume with your emotions. This is not an event, there is no negligent/responsible for the incident here. This is an unfortunate tragedy, because it is usually crowded in Itaewon during Halloween but not to this extent that's why nobody expected the crowd to be this huge and deadly, not even the authorities.

The main lesson here is not to push whenever you’re in a crowd. If the crowd is too big, just move along inch by inch, but never push ahead...stampede happens when people starts pushing

authorities already predicted the crowd would be at least 100k and didn't implement any crowd control despite they have been doing it for years prior covid , the police received many calls asking for the crowd to be controlled several hours before the crush happened and yet they still did nothing. How is not their fault?

I question this rush and need to punish someone right away. People are taking responsibility, punishment in reasonable form is being doled out. What kind of swift punishment are people really wanting? Swift punishment leads to scapegoating and no real Lessons being learned. Because now that punishment has been served we can all breathe easy right? No. Don’t breathe easy. Demand more structured and city planning and not complacency from authorities and areas that hold large events but also from the public that attends them. Selfish behavior needs to go.

My aunt lost her son at 30 years of age in a drowning accident, and no the heart do not heal but you learn to live with it. But you are never the same. The people that have lost a son or daughter or brother or sister in this tragedy will simply have to learn to live with the grief. Yes it will go longer time between the tears and you can in time begin to smile. But part of the heart is buried with your child .

I disagree. No parent heal from their loss of a child especially in a tragedy that could have been prevented. They just learn to live with it.

Healing doesn't mean it go back to totally the same before. The day the hurt doesn't hurt as much as day one and the day you get used to your pain and loss that is also healing too. Some of you expect or define the word heal to a very specific definition while some see it in a broader angle. Time does heal everything in this world. Time also wash out and erase everything in this world. You all can say out your thoughts in this matter here and you all are not wrong and I will respect it but don't overly stress on being technically correct in certain settings in the real world when you attend funerals or griefing. In this context I am focus on consoling people not stressing on being technical here. Lastly remember one thing. This universe is infinitely vast and it doesn't care for the humans in it. Our problems are insignificant and meaningless in it. So people try not to always live in our pains and regrets. Before we know it we are space dust in no time again so don't hold onto anything too much in life. You will only made yourself suffer unnecessarily.

It will take years for that to happen. I think losing a loved one is the worst feeling/pain to ever feel in life.💔

It’s strangely emotional to me…I used to own a dog but she passed away after a car accident. I was in tremendous pain because I think of my pet as a sibling. Never have I thought of my pet seeing me pass away before her. I could never fathom this.
