I Can't Pretend - One of my absolute favourite lost Boingo songs, something unexplainable about this demo tape.
The tune was written for Good For Your Soul but disappeared and never heard anywhere else.

As far as we know Danny has some on tape but not all of them. He says he dislikes his Boingo days so I doubt he'll ever release or give them to someone for remastering.

I can agree with this.. there are literally only two bad songs "Bachelor Party" And "Something Isn't Right" I'll admit that Something Isn't Right definitely goes harder than Bachelor Party though

oh man, glad you were able to break it off and sorry it didn't work out. i've actually quoted an oingo boingo song (why'd we come all this way?) in regular conversation to my friend before when we were debating about some topic but like i didn't present it as a quote of course, just a normal piece of the sentence

@@elfmanenthusiastI’m not sure if this is true. I think Tim and Danny met before Pee Wee’s Big Adventure for the first time. Since the movie came out in 1985, I would assume they met around 1984. If they did meet in 1983, I doubt Elfman would write such a negative song about him that early into their friendship

i cannot believe this was voted worst song from GFYS on an oingo boingo discord server i joined (and left) 😭this song is SO good. also today i learned the album art for GFYS was illustrated by Lane Smith, which didn't ring any bells, so I looked him up and learned he illustrated "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" i was like WHHAATTT? we read that in elementary!
