I used to have the same issue, I'd stay up until 6-7am almost every night for around 9 or 10 years, and melatonin didn't work because I built up an immunity to it when I was a young child. Best way I've found to get rid of it, is to make lifestyle changes so that you'r happier during the day, and maybe listen to something kind of mindless in the background if you still can't fall asleep some nights. I love the use of colors, especially to convey the emptiness of the eyes and the surroundings in contrast to the vibrancy of the outside world and what life should be like. So much of this animation is disturbingly relatable - from that funny “jacket” monster to the disconnect the MC feels from the world and other people, causing that unhealthy but irrisistable spiral into social media. I can’t believe I found this 2 years after it got posted.

Every time I thought it was over, it kept going. It honestly feels like how it is being too bored to sleep, then sleeping at 1am and then waking up just before your alarm, going back to sleep only for the alarm to hit, then you start sleeping through your other 10 alarms you set until the last one before going to do whatever it is you do every day and then repeat.

I feel like this is an artpeice that can be interpreted. The part in the middle with the piano, makes the world feel calm, loud, enclosed, peaceful, scary, and you just feel trapped in your life, in your emotions, in your thoughts, like a prison, or maybe its not that deep and it's just a cool animation, but its a beautiful piece of work.

I need a moment. This was absolutely beautiful, the songs, animation and colors were all great. This captured the feeling of sleep deprivation, dreams and the exhausting routine of everyday life super well. Maybe even hints to ED? I first thought this was simply about insomnia, "I can't sleep" as in they can't physically fall asleep. But since they drank so much coke that has caffeine in it and also wouldn't stop scrolling on their phone, it made me think if they didn't _want_ to fall asleep at all. Gorgeous piece of art!!
@krater8693 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if the character was dreaming when all the different images were shown but the way I liked to interpret it, is when you can't sleep and just lay there and so many thoughts come flooding in that you end up questioning your whole existence and having an existential crisis and stuff, since the images seemed too meaningful to be an actual dream lol

I experienced this for a while I was anxious and I suffer from migraines so I lived in constant fear and when it finally was time to sleep my heart sent shivers down my whole body and I almost couldn't breath because of anxiety luckily I'm better now. Remember that it can also get better for you, things take time and you gotta be patient if you can't then talk to a friend, family member or a professional doctor about it. ❤

i love how well you capture what these things really feel like in life, ive suffered with insomnia majority of my life since i was a kid as well with a constant feeling of isolating and having the internet as my only social stimulation for years when my mental health was declining since the start of 5th grade, its been getting better within these past few years, the daylight part of the vid is also very accurate to the feeling, nothing much changes wise of isolating but theres still people and life around even when you are alone, it feels just a little bit better

The way that this video was only discovered now is absolutely criminal, the landscaping and colors are so beautiful, not to mention the fact this must've taken AGES to make, considering a regular animation that lasts for one minute can take weeks and/or months let alone six mintues. Unlike a lot of the comments, I don't actually have insomnia. But I do have a heart condition that keeps me awake for days sometimes, just like this. 1:30 hit me really hard because it's exactly how it feels. I scroll endlessly, and when I finally think I can pass out, I get heart palpitations so hard I jolt awake. I usually only pass out when I'm so exhausted I can't physically stay awake any longer. Absolutely stunning animation as always. The colors, composition, symbolism, and imagery.. all of these works are beautiful
