I stopped by the Suncoast to watch the tournament and ran into Darren as he was leaving from practice I have to say he is a very friendly and personable, just like in his videos. I was very impressed. He is a great bowler and I'm sure will be up in the top ten in his next showing. His videos have helped me get back into the game and I look forward to future offerings to better my scoring. Go get em, Darren.

Hey Daren, what a surprise for SunCoast to get the 2024 Masters and not South Point, Gold Coast, Orleans and Sams Town locations. But it is my local lanes and it was wonderful to go everyday to see the Pros up close. Congrats on earning a check ( 81st place with cut at 64 ). On to Detroit ?

I bowl I am 11 years old and I bowl youth league there every Saturday in the mourning and my average is 135 and I am trying to get to 150 by the end of the season and I am very close to achieving my goal and I love the sport and you are my favorite bowler would love to meet you someday you are who inspired me and you are my idle to my success

you are not close but keep working at it :) (at this point in the season it would take 4 weeks of 500 series just to get over 140) keep focusing on making your spares. a better short term goal would be not to miss more than 4 spares every game. if you improve on that you'll be a 150 avg bowler next season

Make your spares and 180+ averages are easy. You actually are close. The difference between 135 and 150, is 1 or 2 spares.

This was a USBC tournament, not PBA. USBC hasn’t implemented the 78D urethane hardness like the PBA.

For every game that they shoot over 200 it’s plus pins. So if you bowled a 3 game set and bowled 650 you would be 50 over

He’s referring to the plus/minus comparison of a 200 avg. So 180 over means he’s gotten 180 pins more than a person who would shoot 200 every game.

🧠🧠 Mental issue? I think Darren was in his own head too much. His mental state was very different in this video/tournament than it is in his other videos. Needs to think and play like he is shooting an educational/fun video as a way to deal with the pressure he was applying to himself in the tournament
