The sad truth is that you'll never get an ideal connection for fighting game player's standards if your countries are too far apart. MuriloBDS I believe lives in São Paulo state, which is in south-eastern Brazil. I don't know where Diaphone is, but here in São Paulo we get a connection latency around 170ms when connecting to someone who is not even too far from the southern US border, such as middle California. And this assumes we're getting the cleanest and most-direct connection possible, such as one that can be obtained through tunneling services (ExitLag, NoPing, Pingzapper, etc). Right now the maximum speed you get for data transmission (assuming 100% of the route is optic-fiber) is about 60% the speed of light and right now they really don't know how to make the connections any faster. This is means that, even if one day technology manages to make it closer to the speed of light (since it can never be truly the speed of light, due to how electric conductivity works in both practical and theorycal science) the best we could do to be roughly 40% faster to what we have right know, which means those 170 pings would go down to 120~at best.
